Avery's Cases Related to a Secret Club of 'Good Ole Boys'?

Framing of Steven Avery Began 8/31/2005
By productionsouth.wordpress.com
October 28, 2017

On August 31, 2005, The Avery Task Force was taken over and renamed The Criminal Justice Study Commission by AG Peg Lautenschlager and Jerome Buting, who represented the Criminal Law Section of the Wisconsin State Bar. This is a fact.

This group had seated to it: Sheriffs, Judges, Prosecutors, Atorneys, Senators, DCI and State Crime Lab affiliants. Jerome Buting was seated alongside those with a political agenda stemming from Steven Avery’s exoneration.

Do you think out of all Buting’s colleagues, he’s really the only one who thinks Steven was innocent?

Think again.

Peg Lautenschlager distributed pamphlets in September 2005. The content in these pamphlets were drafted by Jerome Buting, working as her lead author. The content covered Jail House Snitches, Tunnel Vision, Contaminated DNA, False Witness Testimonies and Electronic Monitoring of Juveniles.

This was basically a “How To Convict” bible, indicating to her bad apples how they were to frame Steven Avery.

Notice Buting neither Lautenschlager defends these very political agendas that the cops used to frame Steven and Brendan with, and the Commission was supposed to prevent this.

Follow The $ Trail:

Peg Lautenschlager held three Attorney General conferences right before Halbach died.

Lautenschlager has access to every department that would work The Halbach Investigation and paid them off in advance with money from settling numerous civil suits as the Attorney General.

There was no way Steven Avery was winning a civil suit for $36,000,000 as long as she was the protector of the DOJ Budget.

She took over The Avery Task Force and renamed it because her hate towards Steven Avery became personal.

After Steven was arrested, and the coercion was in place of Brendan Dassey, Lautenschlager made certain her lead author Jerome Buting was assured a spot on the defense counsel to clean up after her.

Jerome Buting was there to only compliment the prosecutors in a very high political conviction.

Jerome Buting was attached to Lautenschlager even at the time Steven hired him. This is a fact.

Avery’s Trial was rigged on both ends.

Zellner Tweet - Eyes Wide Shut - Time We Saw S. Avery - Elitist Issues

A gentleman from Manitowoc County, Dave Begotka, has posted three videos to YouTube, in which he explains that he was jetskiing by the beach in 1985 when Penny Beernsten was assaulted. Avery was convicted of that assault; he went to jail for 18 years and then was exonerated, thanks to DNA evidence. On YouTube, the man who saw Beernsten on the beach that day says that there was something fishy going on; he seems to think the assault actually was connected to the alleged sex club, but pinned on Avery. He believes that many prominent businessmen, cops and school employees were part of this secret sex club. He claims that a month or two after the attack, he was shown Polaroids of (naked) members of the club and was encouraged to join.

Redditor DennaAbusesKvothe sums it up thusly
The club threatened him because he refused to join, and he suspects them of ruining his business and murdering his manager—a woman who died under suspicious circumstances. Her boyfriend was falsely accused of shooting her, but then the death was ruled a heart attack.
Steven Avery had no particular reason to rape and murder a woman on Halloween. But Halloween would be the #1 day for a satanic sex cult to have a ritual sacrifice, even if it was just some goth kids playing wannabe devil worshipers “for fun.”
And user jkschmidt writes
“I think the sex cult theory is incredibly interesting, especially since it later is revealed that [Calumet County district attorney/special prosecutor Ken Kratz] was sexual harassing a bunch of his clients and had to check into sex/prescription drug rehab!”

Our Experiences Relating to the Steven Avery Saga & “The Club” Operating in Manitowoc County
By Dave and Sandra Begotka

Intro

For years Dave has been sharing this information both off line and on the internet.  What follows is a detailed statement.  The bulk of it is from Dave about his direct experience and thoughts on what happened. Dave dictated the statement and his wife, Sandra, transcribed it.  The last few paragraphs regarding Halloween 2005 include events that both Sandra and Dave were involved with.

Assault in 1985

On the afternoon of July 29th, 1985 Dave was riding a jet ski with a friend on Lake Michigan just off the shoreline of Two Rivers, Wisconsin.  Two Rivers is a small town in Manitowoc County located adjacent to the city of Manitowoc.  There’s a large, sandy public beach at this location with a jet ski launching area.

Dave was attentive to what was happening on the beach & road due to the fact that residents in the area had been complaining to police about noise from jet skiers.  That day he noticed what struck him as extra activity on the road next to the beach.  He observed several city of Two Rivers squad cars and at least one unmarked county Sheriff’s vehicle. (Dave knew the unmarked cars – anyone could drive by the Sheriff’s open lot and see them).

While out on the water Dave saw a man speaking to the friend he was hanging out with that day.  He thought it might be a cop.  So he rode his jet ski into the beach to find out what was going on.  The man who’d been speaking to Dave’s friend had left.  Dave’s friend told him that the guy (who turned out to be Penny Beerntsen’s husband) said he was going to call the cops.

Dave’s friend explained that the man was concerned about his wife who had been jogging north on the beach.  She’d not returned in the time frame he expected and he’d not been able to locate her.  Mr. Beerntsen was gone for only a short time and then returned to the beach.  At the same time a Two Rivers Police officer named Charlie Clough (sp?) arrived.  Dave had seen Charlie Clough driving through the area earlier.  The two approached Dave and his friend.  Mr. Beerntsen suggested that Dave could ride his jet ski up the shoreline to look for his wife.  The police officer said he didn’t feel that Dave needed to do this.  However, Dave thought it made good sense to go look and so he did.

Dave rode the jet ski north along the shore.  As he traveled away from the launch area he observed a man and a woman walking north on the beach carrying a white towel. Dave didn’t know their names but he recognized them as being local.  They were on the beach in the area where there are houses close by. The lay of the land is as such:  Heading north from the municipal beach in Two Rivers there is a residential area for about ¼ mile.  After that there are no houses close to the beach – it is state land which consists of beach, dunes, a strip of swampy forested area, and then a road (county hwy O).

Dave proceeded on the jet ski for about 6 miles north along the shoreline until he arrived at Molash creek. This did not take long as the jet ski could go about 30-35 mph.  Near the creek Dave saw another man and woman so he pulled in to speak to them.  He explained he was looking for a woman jogging down the beach…had they seen her?  They stated “Yes”…they had seen her.  She’d run past them and then turned back to the south jogging towards the public beach in Two Rivers.

Dave again took off on his jet ski headed south.  Dave estimates he rode about 4-5 miles when he saw a woman in a mad run from the sand dunes.  She was running as if for her life.  Her swimsuit top was missing and she was covered in blood.

The couple Dave had seen earlier walking with the white towel were sitting on the beach in front of the location where the woman (Penny Beerntsen) was running.  They were looking at Dave. He pointed to the dunes behind them as he was driving towards the shore.  At this point the couple on the beach saw Ms. Beerntsen.  Dave drove his jet ski up onto the beach so fast that he lost control and was flung off.  He got up and was on the scene as Ms. Beerntsen ran past him to the couple who covered her with the towel.

Around this same time Mr. Beerntsen and Two Rivers police officers, Charlie Clough and Bill Bero (sp?) ran up.  Ms. Beerntsen was embraced by her husband and was sobbing and very upset.  Dave asked the police what had happened.  They told Dave she was assaulted by a man.

Dave grew up in the area and was very familiar with the trails between the beach and the road.  His first thought was to go after whomever had done this to the woman and catch the guy or at least get a license plate from any cars that might be on the road.  So he took off running up the dunes.  The dunes were high enough that a person standing on the beach could not see over them to the area beyond.

As Dave crested the first dunes the police behind him were frantically yelling “NO, NO” and for him to stop and return to the beach. Dave halted on top of the dune and it was at this point he witnessed several men in the area behind the dunes.  One man was to the south of Dave about 20-30 feet.  This man was lying prone on the dune peeking over the top toward the scene on the beach. Dave isn’t positive but thinks he was wearing a suit (like a business suit). Another man was standing about 20-30 feet to the west of Dave. He got a good look at this man.  He appeared to be picking things up from the ground but stopped when he saw Dave.  Dave says he was bug-eyed, mouth gaping open with surprise as they made eye contact. He also looked a lot like Gregory Allen.  (Of course Dave did not know about Gregory Allen at the time.  However, after seeing his picture years later Dave immediately said that he looked like one of the guys he saw in the dunes.)  Closer to the woods (further west from Dave) there were a few other men who seemed to be walking in the direction of the woods.  All the people were dressed in plain clothes.  No uniforms.

The officers behind Dave were greatly agitated and yelling at him, so Dave turned and walked back down to the beach.  The officers there told Dave that Ms. Beerntsen had been “passed out” and that they (the police) had people over there and they didn’t want Dave to mess up the crime scene.

At this point Dave got back on the jet ski and proceeded south to the Two Rivers public beach. Ms. Beerntsen was escorted down the beach to an ambulance that was waiting.  Dave doesn’t recall filling out an official statement but does remember the cops implying that he (Dave) didn’t need to do anything further because he didn’t witness anything significant.

The Beerntsens later sent Dave a thank you note and gift certificate for use in their candy store in Manitowoc.

Dave learned through the media that Steven Avery had been charged in the assault and details that were presented to the public.  He also heard talk from locals that the “Good Ole Boys” club were taking care of the situation to make sure that Steven Avery was sent to prison.

Naked Pictures – The Club

Not long (a month or two) after the incident on the beach Dave was at Two Rivers Tire and Muffler where he worked.  A co-worker approached Dave and said a man (he called him by his name) wanted to speak to him.  This man was and is a very prominent member of the community.

SIDE NOTE:  We’ve not stated this person’s name. We feel this individual is very influential, having held office in local and state politics and we are concerned about back lash.

This man spoke to Dave and told him that “We” would like to invite you to join a special men’s club.  He showed Dave some photographs.  In them were naked men, some of whom Dave recognized. There were at least 2 high school teachers and a junior Ramblers football coach. They appeared to be engaged in sexual acts.  There were multiple men in each photo…like some kind of group thing was going on.

The guy told Dave that club members met at various hotels and venues in the area and not to worry…sometimes they got girls.  He stated that many business owners and prominent people were in this club and that it was advantageous to be a member.  He said Dave should come and talk to him to let him know if he wanted to participate.

Dave was freaked out by this (he was 19 at the time) and didn’t know what to say.  He put the guy off and said he’d get back to him.  Afterwards Dave recalls feeling stunned.  He was mystified as to why this guy would show him these pictures and invite him to join this “club”.  It was extremely weird.

First Learning About a “Club”

Now we’re going to go back in time to describe incidents that happened when Dave was a kid. He feels that they also relate to this “club” and are relevant to painting a picture of the culture that is part of the Manitowoc county area.

On several occasions when Dave was between 4 and 8 years old he was the victim/witness to domestic violence.  These acts were committed against his family by a police officer.  In one of the last and most dramatic of these incidents Dave and his family (single mother and younger sister) were forced to go into hiding because the police officer who committed the acts could not be located.  Dave and his family left town and hid out at some sort of Catholic affiliated retreat in northern Wisconsin.  Despite the police, a priest, several nuns, and a guidance counselor being involved and aware of the specifics of the incident, the events seemed to get covered up. It was later implied to Dave not to worry…the “Good Ole Boys Club” had taken care of it.

Fast forward to Dave’s freshman year in High School.  After Dave quit football two boys on the team began to bully Dave.  One of the boy’s father was rumored to be a big shot in this “Good Ole Boys Club”.  These two began spreading rumors about Dave’s mother.  They said that the boy’s father (the one rumored to be in the “club”) had made derogatory claims regarding Dave’s mom.  The stigma of this followed Dave throughout his school days.  Later on in the 90s Dave has another run in with this father in regards to the club…keep reading.

Eagles Club Aerie 706, 823 Hamilton Street, Manitowoc, WI

The location of Dave's Dungeon, 2013 Hamilton Street, Manitowoc, WI

Dave’s Dungeon

In 1986 when Dave was 20 he bought a bar in the city of Manitowoc on 21st & Hamilton Streets.  The bar was called Dave’s Dungeon.  It was in the basement of a building the top portion of which consisted of apartments.  The place wasn’t open more than a few weeks and a man came in while Dave was bartending.  Dave didn’t know the guy.  He sat at the bar and ordered a few beers.  He explained to Dave that he was sent by the “club” to speak to him.  He went on to say that Dave needed to go to the basement of the Eagles Club (located in Manitowoc) in order to join this club.  He didn’t say who Dave was supposed to see…just where he should go.  He was insistent that Dave must join this club.  Dave asked him why.  Why should he be interested in joining this?  The guy then explained how it worked.  Essentially he described racketeering to Dave.  He didn’t call it that…but it was the textbook definition.  Dave told this fellow sure….just to get him to leave him alone.  But he had no intention of going to join anything.

Time passes.  A month or two goes by. Into the bar walks the junior Ramblers football coach.  This was one of the naked guys in the pictures Dave was shown after the assault on the beach.  The guy is friendly to Dave but starts reeling off the same speech as the man who’d been in there before.  Dave needed to go to the Eagles club and join this “club”.  Dave has the Ah Ha moment…this football coach guy was in the naked pictures…this is all part of the same “club”.  This reinforces Dave’s desire NOT to become involved with whomever it’s so important he go see in the Eagles basement.  Dave blows the guy off, telling him sure he’ll go down there.  Not!

Over the course of the year that Dave was actively tending his bar the same guy from the naked photos comes in several times.  On each occasion he adamantly requests that Dave go join this club.  He practically begs Dave.  Telling him things such as, “You don’t want to get on the wrong side of these guys”.

Finally the last time Dave encounters this fellow he becomes belligerent.  He starts yelling and waving his fist at Dave.  Before storming out of the bar he tells Dave he’d better take care of joining or else “something is going to happen”.  There were other people in the bar at the time who witnessed this.  They even asked Dave what the guy’s problem was.

Something to add is that almost immediately after Dave opened the bar there had been one problem after another.  Three different people were suing him.  The city authority on housing was getting after him about the apartments in the building. There were burglaries and vandalism.  It may have just been bad luck.  But Dave wonders now if it could have been related to him refusing to join this “club”.

Mary Ann

About a year after Dave opened the bar he hired Mary Ann Dehne Mary Ann had operated a bar called Pat & Mike’s just down the road from Dave’s Dungeon.  She began bartending and then proposed managing the bar. Dave was pleased with the job she did and she took over the bulk of day to day responsibilities.

Mary Ann began reporting to Dave that a few men were repeatedly coming in and harassing her.  She told him they were telling her that Dave had to join the “club”.  Dave told Mary Ann to blow them off.  On the last day Dave spoke to Mary Ann in person she said she was sleeping with a gun because she was so fearful of these people.  Dave suggested they go to the police to which Mary Ann responded, “They are the police.”  Dave was preparing to travel to upstate Wisconsin on a hunting trip so he told Mary Ann he’d figure out what to do when he returned.

On Nov 15, 1988 Dave set off on his trip.  He was gone for about a week and half. During that time he was unreachable by phone.  Upon his return his mom told him that Mary Ann had been found dead in her apartment (in Manitowoc) on the day Dave left.  He couldn’t believe it.  He called a friend to go with him to Dave’s Dungeon.  The bar was a mess and ransacked.  It looked like it had been the scene of a big party.  Everything of value was gone.  All the liquor, beer, many fixtures, money.

Mary Ann’s boyfriend (Dave doesn’t remember his name) happened to drive by the bar and saw Dave’s car parked outside.  He stopped in and explained to Dave that he’d been the one who found Mary Ann.  He came home and discovered her lying in bed, covered in blood, dead, with a gun on the nightstand.  The boyfriend claims he called the police and when they showed up they immediately handcuffed him. They suspected he killed her due to all the blood.  He wasn’t cuffed for long and they released him.  He told Dave they deemed the death a heart attack.  Dave didn’t get further details about that incident.

The boyfriend went on to tell him about the huge, free for all party that had taken place.  It had occurred the weekend after Mary Ann’s death.  He said he didn’t know who opened the bar and/or started the party but apparently there were possibly hundreds of people there.

After this Dave decided to go talk to Mary Ann’s teenage son.  He didn’t provide any useful details either.  Dave did contact the police to report what had happened at his bar.  He was informed there was nothing that the police could do.  Dave was forced to declare bankruptcy and that was the end of Dave’s Dungeon.

In the years after Dave crossed paths with individuals who claimed to have been at this party.  Several times he heard that people from the “club” were at the party giving everything away. So was this the “Something is Going to Happen” that Dave was promised by the naked football coach guy?

Another Invitation

In the mid-90s (estimates it was 1995) Dave again experienced a brush with the “club”. He’d been invited to a local supper club (bar & restaurant) by friends.  He suspected these friends were knowledgeable about the “club” and he’d recently been asking them about it.  They’d consistently avoided answering.

On this night after the restaurant crowd had thinned the friends told Dave they had a surprise for him.  They led him over to some people sitting at another area of the bar.  As he approached a man introduced himself.  It turned out he was the father of the kid who’d spread the rumors about Dave’s mom in high school.  This guy said he wanted to invite Dave to join a special club.  After realizing who the guy was Dave told him to get bent.  He also confronted him about the rumors regarding his mom, and the harassment he and Mary Ann had been subjected to by this “club”. The man seemed stunned and Dave headed out of the place. His friends caught up with him at the door and told him “he had to go back”.  They were adamant that Dave should make nice and that he couldn’t refuse this invitation.  Dave asked them why he should.  They said for jobs/work/money.  He explained why he had no use for the guy handing out the invite and basically told them no thanks and he left.

Steven Avery Again

Steven Avery gets exonerated for the assault on the beach.  He’s released from prison on September 11, 2003.  Dave sees this playing out in the media and can’t believe it.  Once again the events he witnessed on the beach that day in 1985 are fresh in his mind.

As time passes Steven Avery files his lawsuit, etc.  Dave and Sandra follow the news coverage.  Dave looks forward to further investigation into the crime on the beach. He’s always felt there was something off about the things he saw that day.  That along with all that Dave has experienced regarding this “club” is certainly enough to have him very curious about what in the hell is going on in the community.

On the evening of October 31, 2005 Dave and Sandra load their bicycles into the back of their truck.  They drive from their home in Two Creeks to Two Rivers where they park by Walsh Field and unload the bikes.  They ride around town checking out the Halloween decorations and getting some exercise.

As they are heading back to their truck they pass through the parking lot of Patsy’s Hwy 42 Mobile Mart [in Two Rivers].  At the gas station Dave spots Steven Avery.  Dave says to Sandra, “Look, there’s that Steven Avery.”  The two stop their bikes on the edge of the gas station parking lot and watch him for a few minutes.  He’s driving a dark colored larger Ford truck.  He’s wearing a red and white jacket.  He seems to be filling gas cans (the red plastic type).  There also appears to be a blonde female with him.  Sandra mentions to Dave that it looks like Steven Avery is doing pretty good.

Dave and his wife leave the area and continue back to their truck.  Time:  not sure of exact time.  It was soon after dark.

Someone found the following, which Dave posted on Manitowoc Topix board in 2009.

Dummy Whitney, TX

Jan 6, 2009

I see the Avery thing is back in the news, here is what I say about that!

I was involved in the search for the woman who got raped on the beach in the first Avery case. I was the first one to see her come over the sand dunes and can say looking back at it I was disappointed by the police response. Here we are standing there the guy who did it could not have been too far away, I suggested to the cop trying to chase down the guy, he said no we would mess up the crime scene? And it was left to the courts. I never testified because I did not really see anything. But what I did see was a very badly beaten woman who was horribly traumatized; after they convicted Mr. Avery I would have been all for doing away with him. However, now we know what happened there!

Funny, a friend of mine who was involved with the police back then told me that “They were making sure” he did not get out of it!

Then on Halloween, the night of the resent killing, I was on a short bike ride in TR. Who do I see? Steven Avery! He was getting gas at Ummys& Patsy’s, Filling gas cans in the back of his blue F250, he had some people with him including a young girl, however, I do not believe it was Miss. Haulbeck, I almost sh-it after the news came out, what are the chances of me getting that close to both crimes!

It was funny, our eyes met and he gave me that stupid Steven Avery grunt and looked very cocky? I also made eye contact with the girl sitting in the frontseat. I think it was his niece; however I was not paying a lot of attention. I did point him out to my wife though, he was kind of a local character being on the news so much with his law suet.

I sent this info to the police and the DA and never heard a word?

I have also herd rumors flying around the area (Fishervill) that some of his buddies had a go at her also! The cops never get anything done right! I have a feeling there is A LOT left to the story!

Detectives described their search on November 6, 2005 of Avery's truck, a Ford 350, which was parked in front of his garage (see images below). This truck matches the description that Begotka gives of the truck (dark-colored, larger Ford) that he saw Avery driving shortly after it got dark on October 31, 2005. It got dark around 5 p.m. that day. Begotka saw Avery at Patsy’s Hwy 42 Mobil Mart at 816 22nd Street, Two Rivers, WI, filling gas cans (the red plastic type), and there was a blond-haired woman with him.

Now that there seems to be a lot of locals on this sub, can any locals corroberate the youtube videos in DrNephilim666's channel about some weird sex club that is composed of many powerful people in the area??? Not sure if I believe this dude but he seems honest enough and the videos were posted a while before the doc aired. Maybe he just finished watching true detective season 2? It may not be true but one thing is certain, something very strange is/has been going on in Two Rivers.

The possibility that major business owners and other powerful players in the community take part in these groups and hypothetically coerce and blackmail people into compliance is not far-fetched. If he witnessed something on the beach that day, it's not unreasonable to imagine they wanted him in that club to compromise him and his potential testimony. It also doesn't seem unreasonable to imagine a group with that sort of wide-spread influence flaunting their capacities to threaten people and flex some of their muscle. That, I imagine, was the purpose of showing him the photographs. There may perhaps be an element of arrogant nonchalance, but that doesn't exclude the possibility of revealing to him the reach of this club. Teachers, business men, cops, etc.

We need people in the community (perhaps, more logically, people who've since left the community) to corroborate the possible truth behind these claims. I would be inherently skeptical of anyone currently living in and around the Manitowoc area with potential reason to discredit his story. The fear of dangerous reprisal for blowing the whistle on this sort of thing should not be taken lightly. That being said, it's important to approach both sides of these stories with open-minded skepticism. I'm personally of the mind that the presence of some organized club would help justify and explain the inexplicable behavior of the Sheriff Department, Dassey's defense teams and perhaps even Judges Willis and Fox as the proceedings unfolded. It's also equally possible, as others have alluded to in various threads, that the psychology behind sycophants like Len Kachisky goes a long way towards explaining his willingness to aid the prosecution.

The point is, there's a lot going on here. We'd be remiss to not consider every possibility and explore every angle, the club included.

[–]i9090

I honestly belive Kachisky is dim witted. He may have an excellent memory... He makes a perfect yes man for them in all their needs. Which is why he is a judge (in the area) now.

Mary Ann Dehne died November 15, 1988, I believe. There are obituary or death notice records.
edit: It was 1988. Here's the cemetery listing.

Some people in my extended fam and friends who have a couple of conspiracy theories under their belt are actually amongst the most genuine people I know, I think the reason they have taken to a few of these theories is simply that they expect the people pushing the agenda on to them so vehemently are as genuine as they are themselves. (I didn't write that very well sorry!) Dave doesn't appear like he holds a great deal back, his body language is like the few people I know who call it like they see it and prefer confronting people with issues to venting behind other peoples backs (which is frankly what I do more often than i should).

[–]trapjaw9920

I'll tell you one thing, it's pretty fucking interesting that while I see businesses and homes shutting down and be put up for sale on a CONSTANT basis in this area (I have never seen so many FOR SALE signs and I've lived all over, including as far away as Florida) while the same families who "have a name" in the area ALWAYS seem to do just fine regardless of how good or bad the economy is.

Just ask the Judge in the Avery (correction, Dassey case..) case if his home has lost any property value over the last few years.. then go knock on the door and ask his neighbors the same question.

[–]edvaness

I've known and worked with "DrNephilim666" /Dave for many years, and I can tell you what he says is true. He does not BS.

It's all a bit Twin Peaks. Even "Two Rivers" sounds eerily similar.

I thought about it too. Everything about this county sounds like Twin Peaks.

I've never heard of any "sex clubs." I'm younger and a part of a different generation than him, but a lot of what he says doesn't make any sense. Actually, none of it does.

First, I don't believe there's any record of his story from the beach in 1985.

Second, the cops would never be called for riding a jet ski. Even if they were called, they wouldn't come out, because riding a jet ski is perfectly legal. The only way I could see the cops being called for riding a jet ski is if you were acting like an idiot and screwing with other boaters.

Third, never heard of a "sex club." Especially, one that existed for years and apparently wanted this guy in it really bad. I can't see them harassing this guy for years to join some club.

Fourth, he says that girl died and at first they thought her boyfriend did it because there's so much blood. But she had a heart attack? (I don't know if he touched on this anymore because I stopped watching.)

Fifth, none of his other employees stopped them from giving all his shit away? Nobody in the city knew whose bar it was?

Like I said, I stopped watching it because it wasn't making any sense, but there are parts of his story that could be easily corroborated given the details, like the bit about his bar. I'm going by my family for Christmas today, my parents are closer to his age, I'll see if they can offer any validity to any of his statements. To me they seem to be made up.

[–]DaveBegotka

Mrs Beerstine talked about the Jet Ski thing in an interview a few years back but it was like the cops did not want me to be involved from the start

I also got a 50 dollar gift certificate from them to the candy store

Some of the local home owners were complaining about noise....of the Jet Ski's

The story I was told on the heart attack was it ruptured into her lungs and wind pipe and she aspirated the blood....I always thought it sounded kind of shady but she was a very heavy drinker and in pretty bad shape for a 42 year old.

She was managing the bar and I was working full time, I never got a straight answer from anybody what happen to all my shit. It was like they were as scared as her boyfriend after he found the body about talking who did what.

She was also doing my taxes and all the paperwork for the bar and all of it got thrown away so I had to file to the state to get back what she had sent them it was such a mess....if you look up my name on the WCCA you will see the tax warrants I got in trouble for....them guys slammed me hard.

I aint making shit up and my memory is pretty good yet.

[–]StrictlyRockers

Hey Dave,

I just watched all three of your videos after binge-watching all ten of the MaM videos. Personally, I find you very convincing and I find your story to be credible. I want to thank you for being brave and sharing your story. It helps to add context. I think Americans have a deep-seated sense of fairness, and we are recognizing just how unjustly Steven Avery was treated. Through this process, we are waking up to some huge flaws in our justice system.

You having the cajones to put your story out there on YT is very helpful. I commend you, I salute you, I wish good upon you. I hope for the best for everyone, especially Steve and Brendan.

You are helping, IMHO. A bright light needs to be shined onto this. A very bright light. Direct sunlight is one of the best disinfectants for bacteria and scum.

[–]etherspin

agreed agreed! for the people questioning the dude, I assume when he says he wants people to step up, he is at the limit of his comfort zone with how much he has said without other people to back him up should anything happen or should he be threatened, dave claims the club (or random DNA fetishist!) has a sample of his DNA so I completely understand.

[–]imnewagain[S]

Well im glad to see drnrphilim himself posting on here. I cant imagine you having any incentive to make this up, that coupled with your honest demeanor in the videos leads me to believing it. Just wish we could get more locals to coroberate the story, maybe some club members with info to bring it into the spotlight. The biggest problem with conspiacy theories is that they have a stigma attatched to them and you are suddenly labeled as a loony in a tinfoil hat. I think there is, undoubtably, something very real and strange going on with a lot cover ups taking place in Two Rivers, wish we knew more.

[–]sleuthing_hobbyist

I am assuming that if you had a bar, you'd have regular customers. You don't have any customers to corroborate this crazy party at your bar ? Maybe even a few of these people you mention who knew about this club ? If the club is wreaking so much havoc, surely someone in manitowoc could attest to this, right ?
You are afraid to mention a prominent member of the community for fear of backlash -- yet you are out here spilling details about "The Club" in hopes of what ? Someone else names him ?

Help us understand or give us a place to start. The name of that prominent member of the community would be a great place to start.

I am not saying you are lying, but you do get how hard this is to believe if you aren't willing to talk about someone in Wisconsin and you are in texas, for fear of backlash ?

I've heard of "the good ol' boys" club multiple times. Not sure if it's the same people are what.

I agree his story doesn't make sense. I almost think he doesn't know what a heart attack is, and that it involves bleeding because he keeps mentioning the heart attack and blood hand in hand. My impression is the county isn't exactly overflowing with intelligence.

I do believe there could very well be a "club" of some sort though. It's not totally uncommon to find this kind of stuff going on in small towns.

        Intelligence!!! kiss my ass...lol

        http://davidbegotkajr.blogspot.com/

I answered your blood question in an above post.....I always thought it sounded fishy....I would not make this up. Maryann was a good friend of mine and she was being harassed and bullied by these guys and now looking back when she said "they are the cops" I should have taken her more seriously.

Aha my bad dude, didn't mean to offend you.

What was Maryanns full name if you don't mind me asking? Is there an obituary I can see? I'm sorry you lost a good friend/bar manager, that's real shitty

I guess I believe that there is some sort of club - it's not totally unusual in small towns for that kind of shit to go down. I guess I don't understand why they would want you to join so badly and go so far as to kill your friend because you didn't join. That just doesn't make sense.

Well its likely we are watching the reason why play out right now with the current situation of the Avery case. Don't assume this is small town issue this club stretches far and wide..........

            [–]etherspin

They thought he had seen anomalies and spotted the actual perp (vs Avery who the cops in the club wanted away for potentially car ramming one of their members) on the beach and wanted blackmail material on him so they could stop him reporting anything about that day should the need arise. besides the club Dave says they were routinely sending people in requesting drugs and that when he wasn't on site at the bar they'd manage to bust the place for letting in minors.

The stakes are high, avery was put away - (henceforth assume I'm buying Dave's info and also that the cops actively tried to fit Avery up instead of it being bias mixed with incompetence) -there are a lot of careers at stake (well you'd like to think but nothing has happened since Avery was freed, in other jurisdictions and countries I think heads would roll for sure) which means normal wages but also potential kick backs for favours which would make an average wage seem more meagre.

As far as the club, it might seem far fetched, as might the prospect of Calumet turning a blind eye to dodgy stuff with Lenk (I think that brown haired cop was a decent guy as opposed to the smart ass who was there the day the key was "found" - perhaps examples of a partially compromised force) but once there is significant power in one town you have people from the next town marrying , sons of corrupt people jumping across to calumet, intentional planting of corrupt people e.g. you take a guy who has been at Manitwoc in his role for 20 years and is eligible for retirement but instead, offer kick backs to jump across to Calumet and apply for a job he is over qualified for, he aces the interview because of aptitude and experience and winds up also on the selection panel for new low level employees and can favour newbie cops who are connected to dicey club people as well as controlling which people are on call or called in when something goes down. this would allow corruption of a major crime so it can be blamed on the next person on the clubs hit list. it sounds complex and far fetched but its just another form of organised crime and unfortunately organised crime is still far too prevalent the world over.

If you were part of this corrupt team, like imagine for a second that kratz or his assistant were compromised , how cool would it be to have someone like Kachinsky (so peeved that he didnt get that job as a judge wasnt he!) who works with Mike Kelly under the employ of Dassey in the guise of defence, completely screws his case up, extracts all manner of conflicting but usable confessions from him, this changes the perception of avery for the public and by extension the jury.. man it would be just win win and the fact that Kachinksy is not in jail or barred from practice along with Michael "my god,the ribbon" Kelly makes you think ... hmm, that judge who wouldnt let Brendan Dassey dismiss Len and get a new lawyer .. same person not finding Len in contempt of court , is he compromised?

I apologise for my rambling post, its the only way I can write,Im a recently disabled dude with a neurological disease and though I can't read well (even my own prose seconds after I've written it) I can type quickly and get some semblance of cohesion if i dont pause and have my short term memory do its thing and completely.

            [–]StinkyPetes

Looks like you did just fine :) I do wonder...if the unnamed man isn't the judge :)

            [–]stslick

"Big Willy" Willis they call him in the club scene.

            [–]StinkyPetes

Does Big Willy have a real name or...is that just wishful thinking?

            [–]etherspin

thats pretty rude (the intelligence bit) considering Dave and his GF are commenting in this thread. I am a person of just normal intelligence (no worries with tertiary study etc) and I know sweet F.A. about heart attacks, even with that aside we don't know just how much blood there was. i think Dave has just a second hand account of that.

EDIT: sorry for telling you off, saw that you and Dave sorted it below, kudos to both of you, civility is a massive fucking novelty on reddit and in comments sections of just about anywhere!

            [–]M_Tootles

Don't agree with this assessment of his testimony. It was a lot more coherent and believable than that, at its core, despite the rambling delivery.

            [–]novaop

Hey yall. I'm Dave's wife...the guy who made the videos. Yes. Dave is not excellent on video and he does tend to skip around. He'd be the first to admit this. Anyway...we've seen several places where people intended to summarize his videos and they mix up the details and sort of butcher it. I have now transcribed a written statement of the events Dave experienced...he dictated it to me. (I met Dave in 1999 & I've heard all this info A LOT throughout the years.) The last part...Halloween evening 2005 - I was with Dave for that part. I think we did a pretty good job in providing most of the important details. I posted it on our website here:

            http://www.begotka.com/steve-avery-theclub/

Dave's felt bad about this stuff for years. We hope that somehow sharing this info helps.

            [–]imnewagain[S]

Thanks for transcribing this for us, it makes more sense written out. I have no reason not to believe dave and his story because his videos were made before the doc was released. Have yall watched the documentary? If you have what were your thoughts about it?

            [–]novaop

We watched it. It's good. I think it does an excellent job of showing there were plenty of problems. As far as Steven Avery goes...Dave told me he and many of his family were a bit different years ago. But Steve and family members use to come to the open air bar/festival area where Dave was a bouncer (Harpts Lake)and he says he never had any troubles from them. Dave did hear about the cat burning incident around the time it happened. He did hear that Avery (& others?) put flammable stuff on the cat and tossed it into the fire. That being said...Avery admitted to it at the time...got in trouble for it. I'd also add that when I was growing up I'm aware that many of the boys in my class (in a very small town) abused animals...some of it was pretty horrific. It pissed me off. But those guys didn't grow up to become rapist murderers as far as I know. Based on what Dave has told me I'd say the Avery's are a close knit bunch but they have their family drama. Drinking, domestic altercations, family feuds, etc. I know quite a few people like that and I'd say it's fairly common. I don't think it makes it obvious people in those situations/culture are going to be murderers by default. But I also do not know what happened to Teresa Halbach. Could Avery have murdered her....yes. Do he and Brendan Dassey deserve a fair trial? According the laws of our land- yes. Did they get one. It doesn't appear they did. If law enforcement was so focused on Avery did they neglect to follow up on other leads. There's a lot of talk that supports that....and so a murderer could still be on the loose. Also all the "club" stuff...whatever that is- a mafia like organization/racketeering group that engages in orgies???? Prominent business men/politicians going around whipping out naked pictures to show people??? That's totally weird in my book but hey...if consenting adults want to get together to have sex parties or whatever...fine. But if it's being used as a means to blackmail, coerce, manipulate people/business/politics....that's shady. Not to mention the rumors about occult stuff.

            [–]novaop

Dave and I think that this group - "the club" could most definitely be involved in the Avery saga. (As well as a multitude of other corruption). Do we think police, judges, others in political positions, people of great influence could be involved in this "club"...of course. It seems highly likely. Precisely what this "club" has/had orchestrated in this case/investigation/crime...we can only speculate. So much does not add up....I think most people would agree on that.

            [–]tlyn2016

I agree. When listening to Dave's video on youtube I got such a bad feeling when he stated that 'a couple of these guys from the club lived next door to Avery.' I don't know how far-fetched this is but if some of Avery's neighbors were members of this so-called club, ( they don't even have to be neighbors -- maybe just police officers, investigators, DA's, etc.,) -- could they have been the ones to orchestrate the murder? Could have it been some form of ritual? This murder is too coincidental. It happened just days before Manitowoc was suppose to pay out tons of money to Avery. Also, could have the Dassey boy overheard something, or was told to say what he said. The story he initially told is a bit sadistic. I feel like he's keeping a secret but is scared to tell the truth. Maybe he was threatened. I don't know but the prosecutors from Calumet County didn't seem right to me...they gave me a creepy feeling when they talked. When I heard about Kratz being a sex addict I said to myself 'I knew it.' Also the police officer that called in the tags -- something wasn't right about him either - or his 'tag' story.

            [–]StinkyPetes

Didn't he originally think the gal with Steve in the truck at the gas station was Kayla, his niece?

            [–]novaop

Dave said he thought it could have been her but we've said over and over again that we aren't sure who the woman was. I wouldn't recognize her if I saw her again because I wasn't that interested in looking at her/paying attention to her. I was busy checking out Steven Avery due to who he was...Dave's experience with the first crime, the media stuff about him suing the county, etc.

            [–]StinkyPetes

I'm glad you guys did the hard/right thing and spoke up, but a we often see....it gets you in more trouble. Would love to see the whole lid blown off this asshattery.

            [–]DaveBegotka

Something else.... I was messing around one night with a woman I knew in one of the apartments above my bar that was empty at the time. I ended up leaving some used condoms on the floor. I went up there the next day to get rid of them before a possible new renter was going to look at the apartment and they were gone. Somebody had keys to the place because it was burglarized more than once so when I am implicated by these dicks in their next satanic ritual that is how they got my DNA.....I never could figure out who would take something like that and why.

Looking back I feel a lot of what I thought was just bad luck was these guys setting me up, I had multiple personal injury law suits against me, the slum lord department was on me steady, I had a guy suing me for a fixture that was in the place when I purchased it, it was broke into and burglarized, it got busted for serving minors, I had undercover cops in there all of the time trying to buy drugs from me and I NEVER sold drugs. It was like I had a target on my back with the other local bar owners they were ALWAYS messing with me and turning me in for stupid shit.

I also said it was a rumor about JFK but I have heard it from more than one person who you would NEVER think would be involved with something like this. I know it sounds crazy that is why I never believed it and just gave my opinion on what it could be the NSA and CIA are decades ahead of the general public with technology and now you can buy devices that can speak right into your head and even control things like drones and a mouse on a computer with your mind. If you want to call me a liar or crazy fine but look shit up before you do.

            [–]StinkyPetes

This sounds remarkably similar to the sort of things that the woman married to the German man has gone through.

wtf are you even talking about?

is there something in the water there or is it all of the inbreeding?

IMHO the water is bad from industry, farm runoff including fertilizers, and intentional "treatments" the state uses....if I go any further into it people will tell me to wear a tin foil hat.....

                  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2NZ93bS9_o

                  I talk about it here....

Yes please. I tried really hard to believe this guy. but the longer I did,the less I felt he was being genuine. Or at the very least I felt like he was filling in a lot of gaps with foggy memory over 30 years old.

Interesting you say that. I don't get that vibe from him at all. I thought he was as clear as I would be trying to

yup, he was relaxed and not enamoured with playing anything up for the camera, like i would expect someone to be if they were telling an old friend a story from a decade ago. how i read him anyway.

Yeah I agree, very foggy memory and a tendency to ramble. But he did make it clear that these sex club people were not very secretive about it, almost flaunting it and I think someone, besides some poor bar owner, would have heard about it.

I'm willing to bet there are quite a few people with experience and/or awareness of this club if it should exist. It's not unreasonable to assume the reluctance people might have in coming forward about this sort of thing if they're still living in the community.

And therein lies my problem. I dont know too much about secret sex clubs, but im pretty sure 'secret is the important part.

Is this the Sex Club that DrNephilim666 is talking about (Great Hilbert Sex Ring)? I have no further info.

                          http://www.convolutedbrian.com/how-does-it-feel-mr-kratz.html

"Of course, Calumet County District Attorney Ken Kratz has been more than happy to partake in undermining the accused and others. In the Great Hilbert Sex Ring, he and his sidekick Calumet County Sheriff Gerald (Jerry) Pagel, gave news conferences to keep the public’s voyeurism stoked. I’m sure it was a disappointment to both when their claim of a potential ever widening sex ring did not bear fruit. Part of that campaign was to excessively charge one of the parties so Kratz could claim he nabbed a patriarch. "

Well Zellner will scare the living shit out of them. If not for her professional record her husband was or still is Ceo of Citi corp.

lol @ this Dave guy. Do you guys really believe him?

I will share a really f*ucked up story that happened when I was maybe 8, possibly 9 years old. It really doesn't matter if you believe me, I know it happened.

I grew up in a neighborhood county environment. Everyone knew everyone's kids, business and such. Two house beside our house, that house had been empty and for sale for a while. Then a man and his wife and two kids bought it and moved in. They had been there I will say several months when one evening an "incident" happened I will never forget. It was summer and several of us kids were out playing. Wasn't quite dark yet. There was a couple kids out in the road in front of my house and they were hollering, fire! fire! So we take off down there, and in that house that nice family had moved into, there was an upside down cross burning in their front yard. It wasn't small either. My mom heard the commotion and came outside. She saw it and told me and my brother to get our ass in the house. So we did. Over the next several days, we heard all kinds of shit. But ultimately the story was that the wife of that house was screwing around on her husband. Some of the neighborhood "men" found out about her indiscretions, and supposedly were either members of, or had ties to the KKK and decided to "mark" their house. Understand that I grew up in East Tennessee, the Klan had a presence. Some crazy sh*t does indeed happen, often times where you least expect it. Do I know for a fact the story was true? No. Do I believe it was? Yes, given what I grew up seeing and hearing things.

Whatever people want to read into this is up to them. But I think he is telling the truth. It's a bit unorganized but so what. If you are talking about things that happened over 30 years ago, it can be difficult to say everything in the proper order, or even the right context. His video seemed genuine and unrehearsed. Unlike the testimony bullshit of many of Ken Kratz's witnesses. They were clearly coached.

He has shared some very painful experiences that happened in his life in Manitowoc. From things I've read here that people from that area have said, plus the actions that others took, I wouldn't be shocked if it's not worse than what he has said. On top of it, he has NOTHING to gain by telling his story and opinion. I wish he would let out some names, to Steve and Brendan's attorney's and let them run with it.

TL:DR Man shares stories of young life in Manitowoc. Another unrelated story goes to show weird shit happens everywhere.

                          [–]sleuthing_hobbyist

In this video, which is avery talking on 11/6 to police at avery cabin in crivitz - before he was arrested

                          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qkn8AJPSUs

Go to about 4:10 in the video to hear police asking and avery answer.

Avery says that he didn't leave the property that day. So either Avery was untruthful or Begotka and his wife are either mistaken about the day or didn't see him that night at the gas station.

A reason why Dave's statement might not have been followed up on by defense lawyers could have been that it conflicted with what they know or the narrative they have.

Police might have discarded it for the same reasons.

Also, not sure I see record of Avery having the vehicle described by Dave. -- unless I am mistaken, if someone knows different, please let me know.

Might it have been Earl or Chuck or Bobby or someone else's vehicle ? I want to say bobby had a black vehicle.

Maybe a good question for Dave, is whether or not he is 100% sure it was Avery. 90% ? 70% ?

So far that I can tell, the things we know about that day and avery are not matching with this account. Doesn't mean there aren't explanations, but one plausible explanation is that it wasn't Avery.

                          [–]novaop

Hi - Dave's wife here (the guy in the videos). There is a jet ski parking area & launching area on Neshotah beach (in Two Rivers). Dave was actually one of the people who petitioned for the area. There was a picture in the paper of Dave and all the others (Maritime Jet Ski Association) who were involved. The jet skis pretty much everyone was riding at the time were of the stand-up variety. And yes...they absolutely rode up close to shore all the time. They trashed a lot of jet skis for sure....but they use to skip the jets skis across the sand bars. There are some cool old videos we have that someone else uploaded on YouTube of Dave & lots of other people in the area riding jet skis right off Neshotah beach in Two Rivers. Here are the links:

                          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lS2c-VB6oQY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwIjZXuEkcQ

                          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvSdBu2GhYo

Also to clarify there was only one jet ski that day. Dave and his friend were taking turns. I've transcribed a detailed statement of the events Dave was involved with...it also includes 10/31/05..the evening we both saw Steven Avery. That's here: http://www.begotka.com/steve-avery-theclub/ It provides a much better description. Sorry Dave is not great at doing videos and he's be the first to admit this. Thanks.

                          [–]novaop

We're concerned about backlash in regards to the guy who showed Dave the pics. He was/is a big deal and probably has the resources to sue us for defamation. Even though it is true it doesn't mean the guy wouldn't go after us. It would be Dave's word against his as far as the pictures go.

                          [–]novaop

We've contacted the offices of both D.Strang & J.Buting - but have not spoken to either of those men directly. We'd be happy to name names to an attorney or other credible person in an official capacity to do something to aid an investigation, etc. in regards to the Avery case and/or investigation into the corruption in the county/state.

We don't know what he was buying gas for. He could've been getting it for a golf car or lawn mower, etc. In which case you probably wouldn't want to use old gas out of wrecks. We've never assumed he was buying it to go burn anybody.

We reported the info to the Sheriff's dept.  NOW- 10 years later...after the documentary everyone suspects the sheriff's dept. of being super corrupt and obviously not the one's to report anything to (so it seems)....but at the time we thought we were doing the right thing in reporting it to law enforcement.  We have reported to both the old attorney's and the new attorney....not one of them has returned our calls or emails.  We've been told that an employee at the gas station also saw Mr. Avery that night....but we do not know if that person has gone to the lawyers....we've been encouraging anyone with any info to speak up.  Now it the time while the eyes of the world are on this.

This is bad luck on my part I never wanted to ever be involved in something like this but I have no choice. It happened and my gut feeling is I cannot just shut up about the facts and the truth of this situation. This corruption affects all of us..........

I just wanted to ask you about what you witnessed the night of the murder on Halloween. From Avery's version of events on the night of the murder he was somewhere a little distance away with his home with his sister at a gravel pit or something. His sister is blonde. Could this be the woman you possibly saw Steven with at the gas station? Thanks for your time.

+Alma Heinrichs I was not paying attention to the woman I thought at one time it was his nice.....but I do not know.....at the time there was nothing about a missing woman and Mr Avery was the focus of my attention just because of who he was at the time.....the time line thing never made any sense to me and one of the reasons I thought at the time of the trial I might be mistaken....however at that time I had not seen the truck or his jacket

+Dave Begotka well thanks for the response. I watched your wife's video regarding this matter and she seemed more focused on the female. I suppose that is what got my attention. However she didn't seem open to discussing further since she said that would be her only post on the topic so I didn't want to bother her. Perhaps she might have slightly more recollection whether it looked like his sister or not? Anyway thank you for the response.

I agree, I had moved to TX by the time of the trial and was on the local paper forum (and getting kicked off) writing about seeing him you would think that would have gotten back to the defense if they did not know it already...

So many people on here accusing these two of lying. Their story doesn't sound unreasonable and it doesn't necessarily help Avery either. They're just witnesses who saw something and (I would argue) took reasonable steps to report it at the time.

Avery said he never left the house on October 31st, 2005 if you listen to his November 6th, 2005 interview. Its online now! So either you two are lying, or Avery is lying...either way this doesn't help him in any way!

Not to say he couldn't possibly have been elsewhere obviously in between those times, but the timeline presented in the docuseries seemed pretty tight.

On 31st October, Jodi calls Avery from prison at 5.30pm for 15 minutes (recorded and undisputed). At 5:45pm Avery goes to gas station. Arrives say 6pm (It's around a 10min drive). Sunset In Manitowoc on 31st October is 5.49pm. Dusk at that time of year would last until about 6:20pm so that would be "just about dark". They they say "it seemed" like Avery was with a girl (maybe he wasn't actually with her. Did she get into his truck?) Filling up a gas canister would be consistent with having a fire. Meanwhile, phone records show that at 6pm Dassey took a call from his brother's boss. In Dassey's unprompted admissions early on he said Avery called to help with the fire, and he went over at around 8 or 9pm. The fire was already started by then. Jodi called Avery again at 9:30pm for another 15mins. They watched the fire "burn down" and Dassey was home for 10:30. You can't reduce a body to cremains with a few tires in 3 hours. The bones had been moved, and you wouldn't see a body in a fire fierce enough to cremate it. And then leave the bones in open view for 3 days till you're kicked out? Another several days before the cremains were found? At a crime scene crawling with cops? Get real. Dassey was an alibi, not a witness, or a murderer. If Avery did it, it wasn't how we were told. Most likely: It was Halloween. They were just having a fire.

I came across your videos last night. I sense that you and your wife are credible and your information is fascinating. The circumstances you describe on the day of the rape were extremely odd & troubling and should have led to a full investigation, but didn't ...... we have to ask why not. As I watched the documentary, it was clear to me that most of the participants from LE, government & judiciary, were heavily involved in a secret society and covering up each other's crimes and/or involvement. Several times you mentioned a sex club, but could you be referring to Masonic lodges or a cult whose members are Freemasons? Masons are known to worship Lucifer and renowned for covering up crimes committed by other members of the 'brotherhood', especially those who can influence their career progression. You also suggested the possibility of satanic child abuse, which is typically associated with Luciferianism. Can you tell us more about what led you to believe this? Finally, I also found it interesting that 'the Prize' had such a dramatic fall from grace. Could he have pissed off the wrong 'brother' ....... ? These secret societies always hold dirt on the members, which can be brought out at any time to make them obey or face expulsion and scandal. Based on your user name, I suspect you will know much more about what I'm asking than you've discussed so far in your videos, and I do look forward to your response.

Thanks for the videos and having the comment section open. I've enjoyed them all. Your insights on this whole case are really appreciated. You have a unique perspective and you're in a position to see things others cannot see. Also no matter what the idiots say notes are very helpful. I saw in your last video that you don't believe in Satan and you're not superstitious. However that doesn't mean that that there is no Satan or that others don't believe in Satan. Satanists do indeed believe in Satan and this case may go much deeper than we know. I just wanted to point that out. These "clubs" may start out innocently but slowly evolve into an efficient method of power, easy money and control. Who knows how far the control goes now? Thanks again and I'm looking forward to more of your insightful videos.

                          +Chuck P right on!

Was he filling up his truck or a gasoline container?

+Charles Henkel Gas Containers......this is why I thought it was so relevant at the time after all he was supposedly burning a body!.........The shady people involved probably did not want me anywhere near this because of what I saw on the beach in 85.....and it does not match the official timeline.....

+Dave Begotka I read your Topix post after watching the video. Your recollection was different- you said your eyes met and you thought it was his niece. From the video i was thinking a girl about his age. But if they could ignore all the alibis in his first case; they wouldn't have any problem covering up a blonde girl in this one. Thanks for your videos. They are very interesting after watching the documentary.

Thanks for sharing your story Dave. Do you think they were pressuring Mr. Beerntsen to join "the club" prior to the attack on Mrs. Beerntsen? Sounds very similar to what you experienced at the bar with Mary Ann then she was attacked. Framing Avery was just part of the plan for the Beerntsen attack perhaps. They could have framed Avery with an attack on anyone but sounds like a prominent person like Mr. Beerntsen would have been the type of person they would have wanted in their club. It is possible they were going to frame you or the boyfriend for that but if you both had rock solid alibis then they had to resort to the heart attack explanation. Have you given any of this some thought? You're doing the right thing but be safe. These sound like very shady people.

I heard your interview on the Todd Shapiro Show and then when you talked to that attorney Ari Goldkind. Are you at all worried that if you come forth with this information about seeing him at the gas station on Halloween that the prosecution (if you testify in a new trial) will pick your life apart? I wouldn't doubt they would have investigators trying to find every little skeleton about you and your wife. Seeing how obviously corrupt this area of Wisconsin is  I wouldn't want to be in your position and have people possibly make shit up about me to discredit my testimony. Whatever you decide good luck!

So the night of the murder Dave Begotka's said he seen Steven Avery at a gas station filling up gas cans, What time? I don`t think he tells you, But we know Jodi Stachowski Steven Avery's girlfriend at the time was in jail and called him the night of the murder two times, once at 5:36 p.m. and talked for 15 minutes then she calls back later that night at 8:57 p.m. So that tell use he was home at the time of the calls and would be nice to know what time Dave Begotka's seen him at the gas station.

I haven't read all the other comments, so I apologize if I repeat anyone. If I understand Zellner's tweet correctly, she's saying that Teresa's phone pinged another location after she left the Avery property. Steven's phone records show he was still at home at the same time making & receiving calls for some period of time. Also, sometime that evening Steven was supposed to be dropping $50 off for Jodi at the jail, so this could be the same time you saw him. Brendan's alibi timeline doesn't have him going over to Steven's until some time between 7:00-7:30. So Steven would have been back home by 7:00 to call Brendan & invite him to the bonfire, and stayed home after that time for the rest of the evening.

Any of you know anything about this guy and his wife and the claim of some "sex club" operating in Manitowoc.

                          http://www.begotka.com/steve-avery-theclub/

                          [–]BugDog1

Is this the guy who claims to have seen SA at the gas station in Halloween even though SA himself says he never left the property.

                          [–]milowent

same guy - also says he was driving a nice F250 truck and was with a female. Never seen anything about SA having an F250.

                          [–]UnpoppedColonel

There's a black Ford Super-Duty (either an F-250 or F-350 most likely) parked in front of Steven's garage in several photos, and I believe I've seen a reference to it being one of the vehicles that was seized in the investigation.

It's actually a nice looking truck, and is exactly what I would buy if I were Avery and had just been released from 18 years in prison.

                          [–]texashadow

I believe he also mentions it in Crivitz when he lists his autos for the detectives.

On the way to the police station the ask him if he has a motorcycle. Odd question.

                          [–]primak

That question might be important because....back in 2006 I was google searching Teresa Halbach because there was no info released about her. I was trying to see who she was and why someone might want to kill her. I found an Ebay account in her name and her location where she sold only motorcycle parts.

That Begotka also sold and built custom motorcycles. I just find it odd that he was so interested in and involved himself so much in both Avery cases when he wrote on the Manitowoc message board that Avery was guilty and he never knew the guy, just knew of him and never liked him.

Also listen to their you tube video where he and the wife give their work histories. Very interesting and they had factories where they built auto parts and motorcycle parts they say. He also says he can't spell is dyslexic and his wife has to write everything for him.

Everybody I've tried to ask how Halbach was involved in motorcycle part has had no answer or said they didn't know about it. I actually came right out and asked Begotka if he knew her and he said no. There is another bike shop in Maribel for custom bikes that opened in the spring of 2005 it says on their website. She had to get those motorcycle parts from somewhere.

                          [–]texashadow

interesting. I only listened to one of those videos. He seemed like a credible guy with an incredible story. Didn't know what to make of it. Allen Gregory rode a bike but he was way out of the TH picture.

                          [–]primak

The thing is, he talks about that sex club, but does not explain how Halbach would have gotten mixed up in that. And, given Avery's history of conflict with law enforcement, I doubt he would have been asked to join any sex club that Begotka is alluding to that involved county officials or police.

                          [–]stslick

                          Maybe /u/davebegotka can enlighten us

                          [–]DaveBegotka

I started my Motorcycle parts business in early 06 and manufactured all the parts per my design........I never met TH or heard of her until the Avery Case...

IMHO the sex club is part of a mafia that operates in the area

                          [–]jamesc182

I have spoken to several members of the manitowoc community (believe me if you want) and others have confirmed the existence of some sort of sex club association. They also mentioned to me 2 other separate crimes that they personally believe the sheriffs department is involved. Everytime he says these cases happen, the Sex club comes back up. Also a club of business owners and leaders. and supposedly the naked pictures that take of you are to ensure you dont leave the group.

                          [–]pap3rw8

This "sex club" theory sounded really preposterous when I first read that blog post. It's been linked here a few times at least. I'm not convinced that they're involved in this case, but it deserves further investigation. At the very least, it sounds like there's possible corruption involved.

Can you elaborate on your knowledge about this club beyond what was in the blog? It's just that we can't draw too many conclusions from what's essentially a rumor at this point without more independent substantiation.

                          [–]jamesc182

like i said, i have heard dave's videos, ive seen in linked to the Ricky Hochstetler case (17 year old cold case killed by hit and run) and the Daniel Terens case. I live in SD. I have reached out to people in the Manitowoc community, people who have told me they are to scared to discuss these things around town, and that's why they confide in me.. so take it for what its worth, but these guys who tell me this are not even Avery supporters.

Carver took the unusual step of ratting on his legal colleague, the county’s then district attorney, Joe Paulus. Carver lodged a complaint with the Board of Attorneys Professional Responsibility, which is overseen by the state Supreme Court. He accused an assistant attorney of trying to throw out a speeding ticket for the nephew of an influential contributor to the re-election campaign of Paulus.

It would be nine months before Carver was summoned to the board’s district investigative committee, and what he found surprised him. One member of the committee was attorney Milt Schierland, the judge later noted in correspondence to the board.

“Mr. Schierland is a personal friend of District Attorney Joe Paulus,” Carver wrote, and “has financially supported Mr. Paulus in all his elections, and Mr. Paulus has in the past financially supported and endorsed Mr. Schierland in his campaigns for public office.”

The district committee actually recommended an investigation, despite Schierland’s participation, but the state board declined to pursue the case. And because the records of all unprosecuted complaints are destroyed, the entire episode disappeared immediately from public view. The corrupt regime of Joe Paulus would go on until an FBI investigation finally resulted in Paulus pleading guilty to racketeering and tax evasion in 2004, some seven years after Carver filed his complaint.

The Paulus situation raises the issue of how lawyers in Wisconsin are regulated: The state Office of Lawyer Regulation, as it is now known, has seen its staff cut back, which may affect its ability to police misconduct. Worse, the office depends upon district committees of volunteers dominated by lawyers overseeing fellow lawyers.

“Self-regulating disciplinary systems are more like guilds, and guild members tend to protect each other,” says Greg Keating, University of Southern California Law School professor.

The problem is a national one, but statistics suggest that Wisconsin may have more to worry about than most states. The state led the Midwest, with complaints against 10.3 percent of licensed lawyers in 2004, compared to a range of 4.6 percent (in Minnesota) and 9.8 percent (in Michigan).

Nationally, there were 127,171 complaints against lawyers filed with state oversight committees in 2004. Some 2,225 of them were filed in Wisconsin, where charges were much less likely to result: Just 1.6 percent of complaints investigated in Wisconsin resulted in formal charges against attorneys, compared to 4 percent nationally.

“I have some concerns the Office of Lawyer Regulation has more interest in self-preservation than protecting the public,” says retired Winnebago County Judge Robert A. Haase.

Does the public need better protection from bad lawyers? “On balance, the system works,” says former state Supreme Court Justice Janine Geske, now a professor at Marquette University’s law school. “There is a real attempt not to have cronyism.”

Others disagree and point to Paulus as Exhibit Number 1 in the argument for better regulation.

Joe Paulus graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1984. He set up shop in the Fox River Valley and bounced from firm to firm until 1987, when Peg Lautenschlager, then Winnebago County’s prosecutor, hired him as an assistant district attorney. When she did not seek re-election in 1988, Paulus ran for and won the office.

Almost immediately after his victory, the sharp, handsome prosecutor began to show a dark side. Paulus won the nickname “Hollywood Joe” for seeking out high-profile cases. One example was his prosecution against a grocery bagger for sexually assaulting Sarah, the nationally known victim who claimed to have 46 different personalities.

After Paulus gained a conviction, his victim-witness coordinator, Sheila Berry, disclosed that the victim had had sex with several other men, including Paulus’ star witness, and that Paulus had concealed this evidence. Paulus was forced to move to dismiss the charges.

When reporter Mary Jo Netzer, who covered the courts for the Oshkosh Northwestern, refused to write a sufficiently positive story about Paulus in the early 1990s, he called the newspaper and said that “as far as he’s concerned, the paper did not exist until she was off the beat,” recalls Stewart Rieckman, the paper’s executive editor. “Joe was very good at intimidating people.”

To increase the pressure on Netzer and the paper, Paulus had employees in the court clerk’s office hide case filings when Netzer made her rounds, recalls clerk Julie A. Pagel. Pagel refused and reversed his instructions to her staff. “From there on, I was on his list,” she once said. “There was a vendetta.”

Meanwhile, Paulus was having conflicts with Judge William Carver, who had served on the bench since 1973 and was himself a former Winnebago County district attorney. Paulus was trying to burnish a “tough on crime” image, Rieckman says, and felt Carver wasn’t handing out tough enough sentences on cases Paulus prosecuted.

Rieckman says Paulus tried to intimidate Carver by pressuring a small-time bettor to link the judge to gambling.

Carver describes the situation this way: “If you could get a judge for being with a professional gambler, you’ve got a statewide story.”

Carver admits getting a letter from the accused gambler saying he was being pressured to perjure himself by Paulus. Carver angrily chastised the prosecutors for using their office for political purposes, then recused himself from the case. But he gave Paulus an opening to file a complaint of judicial misconduct against Carver for making inappropriate comments and an “appearance of partiality” in the courtroom. The state Supreme Court suspended Carver for 15 days without pay.

Yet while the regulatory system had no problem suspending Carver, it dismissed Carver’s complaint that the DA’s office threw out a speeding ticket for political purposes. So the Paulus regime continued, with increasingly nasty results.

WHBY-Oshkosh radio news anchor Jeanne Anthony claims Paulus let local television stations know he wanted to be covered by female reporters, whom he would then order to drink with him. Paulus’ assistant DA, Edmund Jelinski, taped a conversation where Paulus bragged about having sex with a woman in his office in the middle of the morning.

Jelinski was still in his 20s, just a few months out of law school, when he was hired as assistant DAby Paulus in 2001. But he quickly came to the realization that something was rotten in this office. For starters, there was Paulus’ intimidating style.

Paulus was preparing for a re-election campaign, Jelinski recalls, and wanted to win over his staff. So he decided to help make pancakes for them every Wednesday. “My secretary, Kristen, who was pregnant at the time,” Jelinski says, “wasn’t real hungry in the morning. And Joe puts a plate of pancakes down in front of her, she eats about half of one and comes into the kitchen and puts it in the garbage.”

                          Paulus was enraged.

“The rest of the morning, my job was to threaten Kristen,” Jelinski recalls, “because she slighted him.” Even after she apologized, Paulus continued to belittle her.

Jelinski and his fellow assistant DA, Tom Chalcoff, who also started there in 2001, began to have suspicions about how Paulus was handling – or not handling – cases. File by file, they searched through the records in the District Attorney’s Office and photocopied police reports, transcripts and court records. They found a pattern of cases being inappropriately dismissed or reduced.

To get the public to feed him more information on corruption in the DA’s office, Jelinski announced his candidacy for the 2002 Republican nomination for district attorney, opposing Paulus. Jelinski and Chalcoff also went to two local judges, Robert Haase and Barbara Key, to report their findings.

Both Key and Haase filed complaints with the Office of Lawyer Regulation, reporting dozens of allegations that cases were being dismissed or reduced for no apparent reason. The OLRinvestigated and then sent Haase a letter saying it found no violations.

Jelinski and Chalcoff also went to the FBI with their allegations. An incensed Paulus fired his two assistants, then filed an ethics complaint with the OLR, saying Jelinski’s allegations of corruption were a violation of Supreme Court rules. Once again, Paulus was using the system to try to silence critics.

Still the Office of Lawyer Regulation did nothing about Paulus. Keith Sellen, state OLR director, notes that his office is a civil regulatory agency. Once a case becomes criminal and law enforcement gets involved, the OLR backs off.

“We rely on criminal investigations a lot,” says Sellen. “The FBIuses covert methods that we would not use. We are not trained that way.”

As it turned out, the voters were more proactive than the legal regulators, and the increasingly controversial Paulus lost his bid for re-election in a 2002 primary election. In 2004, he was found guilty of racketeering and tax evasion. His license to practice law was revoked and he is now serving a 58-month sentence in federal prison in Pensa-cola, Florida.

Yet the reverberations from the reign of Paulus continue. William M. Lennon, who succeeded Paulus as district attorney, wrote Wisconsin Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager the day after Paulus was indicted, asking for another, more broad-ranging investigation.

“Just because federal charges were filed, this should not relieve Mr. Paulus of answering to his criminal conduct in state court,” Lennon wrote. “In addition to charges of bribery, my office has received dozens of allegations by individuals indicating that attorney Paulus lied to police, judges, victims and other attorneys in an effort to win cases and to obtain favorable media coverage. We believe that an investigation is needed to root out other individuals who may have assisted Mr. Paulus in his misconduct.”

Lautenschlager agreed to initiate a John Doe probe in the spring of 2004. To date, no charges have resulted. “It’s all beneath the radar screen,” Carver laments.

The Winnebago County legal community was so devastated by the scandal that they considered launching a public relations offensive to rebuild public trust.

“The Paulus case was a huge embarrassment to the judiciary,” says Rieckman.

Amanda Todd, a public relations specialist for the state Supreme Court, says she traveled to Oshkosh to meet with judges to discuss the PReffort. Judge Carver says Todd was concerned about a broad-ranging campaign that might suggest any problem with regulating lawyers in the state and preferred one focused just on justice in Winnebago County. Todd says she has no authority over the judges’ decision and couldn’t recall making any suggestions. Ultimately, no campaign was launched. To Carver, the Supreme Court seemed quicker to take action on its image than on handling the ethical complaints against Paulus.

Judge Carver’s original complaint against Paulus had accused his assistant DA, Bradley J. Priebe, of pushing to throw out the speeding ticket to benefit a friend of Paulus. But because all records of any case that is thrown out are destroyed, Priebe has gone on to win an appointment to a circuit judgeship in neighboring Outagamie County (although he was defeated a few months later when he first stood for election). Indeed, Paulus also benefited from the confidentiality rule and was nearly appointed U.S.attorney in 2001 after more than a decade of his crooked leadership as district attorney.

Is the Paulus affair one of a kind? Or does it suggest a more wide-ranging problem of unethical lawyers who are not being properly policed?

Naji Abu Lughod is a middle-aged Palestinian from Jordan who studied business at Marquette University before opening a Mequon insurance agency. Back in 1995, Abu Lughod needed a lawyer to handle a conflict he had with a business associate. He and his wife called several law offices to find one who would provide a free initial consultation. When Cedarburg-based attorney Sherman Abrahamson agreed to do this, Abu Lughod says, he made an appointment. A problem soon ensued.

In a letter to the Office of Lawyer Regulation, Abu Lughod later complained that it took just a few moments to explain his problem to Abrahamson, and the rest of the 50-minute session was spent haggling over money. Abu Lughod claims the lawyer insisted on a lump sum payment of $2,500 if he took the case. When Abrahamson would accept no other payment arrangement, Abu Lughod says he left.

Later, Abu Lughod received a call at his office from Abrahamson, “who demanded money in a threatening tone,” the letter to state regulators claims. Three days later, a bill arrived from the lawyer charging $350 for the consultation. When Abu Lughod refused to pay, the lawyer sued him in small claims court in Ozaukee County, where the judge ruled in favor of the lawyer.

Abu Lughod said he got no satisfaction in response to his demand to state regulators for “a full investigation” of the attorney “and his practice of luring potential clients into his office and lying under oath and practicing questionable activities to extort money from people like me.”

Abrahamson, who has practiced for 43 years, said he couldn’t remember why he sued Abu Lughod. Representing his own firm, Abrahamson has sued 10 other clients over the past 10 years, court records show. He claims he has never sued a client over an “initial consultation fee” but concedes that some cases involved disagreements over fees.

“They get everything they want from you, then they don’t pay you,” he complains. “People pay lawyers last.”

If the Paulus case represented high-level criminality, the accusation by Abu Lughod is more representative of the kind of case that gets referred to the OLR. Complaints received by Wisconsin regulators in 2004-’05 include 220 for misrepresentation or dishonesty, 86 for trust account violations, 69 for failure to return property, 23 for criminal conduct, 81 for incompetence, 430 for lack of diligence and 240 for failing to communicate with a client.

Since 2000 in Wisconsin, the Office of Lawyer Regulation received more than 11,000 misconduct complaints from judges, lawyers, clients and others, leading to at least two dozen disbarments – about two disbarments for every 1,000 complaints.

The OLR has seen staff cuts that may affect its ability to police misconduct. Complaints against Wisconsin lawyers increased 16 percent between 2001 and 2003, while the number of OLRinvestigators dropped 30 percent. In 2001, the OLRhad an investigative staff of 20 and a support staff of 13 to handle 1,951 allegations of lawyer misconduct. In 2003, the agency was down to 14 investigators and five support staff handling 2,261 complaints.

But the level of state staff may be less important than the 16 district committees that first investigate allegations of misconduct and make recommendations to the OLR. The volunteer committees are advisory and comprise both lawyers and non-lawyers, with lawyers predominating. District One (Jefferson, Kenosha, Walworth) has nine attorneys and two non-lawyers. District Two (Milwaukee County) has 40 members, including 26 attorneys.

The integrity of district committees has come under criticism for conflicts of interest in recent years after it was discovered that Paulus confidante Milt Schierland had for years served on the District 3 committee representing Winnebago, Green Lake and Fond du Lac counties while he was bribing the DA. (Schierland pleaded guilty to filing a false tax return as a result of the Paulus investigation.)

Some states, like Illinois, use statewide committees to reduce the chance a lawyer will face a conflict in analyzing complaints against a local lawyer. But Janine Geske says that may not be practical. “These are volunteers. They are not paid. So you’re more likely to get people who are willing to do this kind of work if they don’t have to drive halfway across the state to do it.”

Geske believes that conflicts can be minimized with sensible rules. “Particularly in smaller districts, if you’re going to use volunteers, both people and lawyers, the fact that someone knows somebody should not be enough to disqualify someone. What is important is that everybody who takes on the responsibility also subscribes and commits to some kind of conflict of interest [rule].”

The inclusion of non-lawyers on committees, as Wisconsin does, is intended to be a safeguard against cronyism. But Deborah L. Rhode, Ernest W. McFarland Professor of Law at Stanford University and author of In the Interests of Justice: Reforming the Legal Profession, says putting a few non-lawyers on a volunteer board is little more than a “cosmetic gesture.”

Rhode believes wholesale reform is needed. “Structural deficiencies in the bar’s present governance system mandate reforms offering nonprofessionals more than a supporting role. Anointing a few laymen to serve on drafting commissions or disciplinary committees will not suffice,” she says.

One state that has taken steps to change the system is Arizona. The state does not use voluntary district committees, and all charges of lawyer misconduct are public, regardless of whether discipline is imposed.

Robert B. Van Wyck, chief bar counsel for the State Bar of Arizona, says the state supreme court had opted for transparency, and the openness serves to bolster public confidence in the system.

If his agency receives continuous vague or unsubstantiated charges of misconduct from different sources about a single lawyer, Van Wyck notes, an investigator will be assigned to receive all future complaints about that attorney to make sure nothing is missed. And all of those previous unsubstantiated complaints are open to the public in case someone wants to research the attorney before signing a contract for services. Also open are the names of the persons making the allegations, so the public can decide whether the person complaining has credibility.

Nationally, there is a growing awareness that the process of lawyer regulation needs more openness. A New Jersey Supreme Court ruling in November lifted a gag order that had once prevented individuals who file complaints from speaking openly about their cases. The Colorado state bar now has a Web site that allows people to search for a lawyer’s name on the list of complaints.

Still, the general picture remains one of lawyers policing fellow lawyers, and the practice of deferring complaints in deference to criminal investigations is common.

“If the FBI says, ‘Stop lurking around, you’re interfering with a criminal investigation,’ what are you going to do?” asks G. Fred Ours, deputy disciplinary counsel and president of the National Organization of Bar Counsel. “When two agencies have jurisdiction, the agency with the lesser resources defers.”

In practice, that may leave the public unaware of a problem involving the attorney until the investigation goes public. That can contradict what Illinois Chief Disciplinary Counsel James Grogan says is a critical component of lawyer regulation: “If there is misconduct, it is important for the disciplinary people to get it to the Supreme Court fast, and where there is no impediment, there is strong discipline.”

Ultimately, the biggest deterrent to making any improvements in the system of lawyer regulation is the domination by attorneys of courts, legislatures and oversight committees. But Geske is among many in the legal fraternity who argue that the system needs tinkering, not wholesale reform.
“No system, including this one, obviously, is perfect,” she says. “There are things that should be looked at in hindsight.” Still, she adds, “I think the system, for the most part, works.”

                          Many Kinds of Misconduct

The range of attorney misconduct is wide, as suggested by several recent examples of lawyers who faced disbarment or a license suspension.

Waukesha County attorney Jennifer L. Abbott now faces 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine for two counts of theft. She was disbarred in 2005, but as in the case of Joe Paulus, it was a criminal charge that led to this. Abbott was also under investigation by the Office of Lawyer Regulation for some 20 allegations of misconduct dating back to 2002, but these complaints became moot given Abbot’s criminal charge and disbarment.

Among the allegations of misconduct against her: overdrawing money from a trust account, failing to preserve evidence and arrange for testimony of a key witness when handling an operating-while-intoxicated case, failing to return records or files in violation of court orders and failing to return unearned retainers or fees.

The law license of Waukesha attorney Carlos Gamino was suspended for six months in December 2005. The suspension is based on a complaint filed in 2002 alleging that Gamino engaged in inappropriate sexual relations with two clients, which is a violation of Supreme Court rules, then lied about it under oath.

The state regulator or “referee” found that on two separate occasions, “Gamino entered into a sexual relationship with a female client in a vulnerable personal situation very shortly after he was retained by them.… One of these clients was dealing with drug and alcohol dependency and facing the loss of her children, home, possessions.… She was desperate and vulnerable, and attorney Gamino should have been aware of this fact. This disturbing behavior, combined with the finding of his misrepresentations about the nature of the relationship, evidences a troubling pattern.”

Milwaukee attorney Allen E. Schatz has been practicing in Wisconsin since 1984, and the first complaint against him was filed in April 2001. Among several complaints and more than 30 counts of alleged misconduct were the following: failure to put client money in a trust account, forgery, failure to provide competent representation, failure to file the petition in a bankruptcy, failing to return a client’s papers and fees that were not earned, lying to the OLR during the investigation, failure to take necessary steps to allow an appeal to occur in a first-degree intentional homicide conviction and failure to do anything on a family court case after payment of a $750 retainer.

Prosecution by the OLR resulted in a February 2005 decision revoking Schatz’s license and made retroactive to August 13, 2003.– Geoff Davidian

                          Can Elections Solve the Problem?

The state Supreme Court oversees the Office of Lawyer Regulation and bears ultimate responsibility for policing bad lawyers. Will this issue ever arise in an election for the Supreme Court? Milwaukee attorney Walter Kelly, who ran unsuccessfully for the court in 1997, doubts it. In the typical race, he says, issues die fast and campaigns are mostly about candidate biographies.

Mike McCabe, executive director of the watchdog group Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, says Supreme Court elections are heavily influenced by campaign contributions, which come mostly from lawyers and lobbyists. They probably aren’t looking for tough enforcement of ethical mandates,
                          he says.

McCabe says only when money from lawyers and special interests is removed from campaigns will the court have a freer hand to watchdog the legal profession. McCabe cites proposed legislation, the “Impartial Justice” bill, that would make the justices independent through public financing of the races. If the bill passes, McCabe says, the Supreme Court “would be in a much better position to police the lawyers in this state.”– Geoff Davidian

In late 1980's Omaha, Nebraska, the Franklin Credit Union was being investigated for fraud and embezzlement under the auspisces of Lawrence "Larry" King. Surrounding the investigation of his credit union, claims began to surface concerning his homosexual tendencies and association with Boys Town. His victims would later describe how he headed a national pedophile sex-ring out of Boys Town, pandering children to society's elites for purposes of blackmail and profit. Cognitive dissonance after reading these books left me wondering about the veracity of these claims even after seeing the mountains of evidence related within them----and then something as serendipitous as a completely unrelated murder case in Wisconsin brings up the claim of a "gay sex-club" associated with the elite of the community----and the claims are entirely vindicated. This shit is real people. Read these books. You will know like I know now. Wanna know how the case ended up for Larry King? He was put in jail for fraud---he got away from any sex charges scott free. The SAME shit that we saw happen in Steven Avery's case was happening in Omaha, Nebraska. FBI, CIA, the media, and the local community were all complicit in the cover-up.

As such, protection of the status quo becomes paramount and the ability to preserve your connections is, in a way, a form of self-preservation. Morals and ethics are relative to where one lives, and acceptable behavior seems to involve lack of integrity if the moment calls for it.

In a strangely similar event. I was hit by a car while traveling home from basketball practice when I was 13. I was on a bike, and had reached my driveway which is located directly under a street light so lighting was not an issue. I was thrown through the windshield and into the passengers seat. At that point the car veered off of the road and hit a tree in my neighbors driveway at a speed of about 40 miles per hour.

Crack pipes were found outside of the vehicle, no one in the car called the police, and no one in the car bothered to render aid to me (if you've cut yourself on a glass shard, you can only imagine what going through a windshield does). The police report concluded that lighting was poor on the road, and I was driving in an "erratic manner" based on the drivers recollection, who also claimed that he didn't see me, thus, no criminal charges were filed.

The crack pipes couldn't be "linked to the vehicle", and the driver as well as two other passengers refused treatment(after hitting a tree going 40 miles per hour). The drug test took nearly 11 months to get back, and when it came back it was positive for crack cocaine. Still, no charges were filed as the police said that it couldn't be determined if the driver was impaired at the time.

I still have the police report 10 years later and decided to review it. Upon finding the drivers name, I located an investigative officers name. Not surprisingly, they both shared the same last name, and lived in this same small town of about 4,000 people. To this day, our family has not been satisfied with the way the case was handled, however, we all knew how it was going to play out.

I ended up having my femoral artery severed by the glass, as well as several other cuts in nearly every place of my body except for my face (thank god). I can't help but wonder what would've happen had I bled out, which is extremely common with the type of injuries I sustained; would the police have had the nerve to charge this man with vehicular homicide? Would they have charged him with DUI, would they have charged him with speeding? (I was hit when they were traveling at about 50 miles per hour). I have my doubts that any of these questions would be answered with a yes.

As such, it's always important to remember that when small town police are involved in situations that they shouldn't be involved in, the findings will rarely be supported by actual evidence and when evidence is actually received, it will be explained away, as it was in my case.

I apologize for the troubles you experienced in this town and hope that one day, retribution will be dealt to those who have wronged your family.

I received a settlement from the insurance company of the driver (that didn't amount to near the amount of issues I have today related to the nerve damage in my leg). I still would have hope that someone could be held responsible in the eyes of the law and not just be held responsible in the eyes of most of the community.

If LE was willing to go that far, then why the need to even kill TH?? Since the body was never found (the bone evidence is not conclusive, IMO), now the theory that the murder was staged, she is alive and was paid to disappear, is not so far-fetched.

That is scary. So have you seen others treated this way as well? That's messed up! We should be able to trust and believe in the officials. My mom was the First Lady deputy for Cherokee county here in Ga. She started out as a radio dispatcher then went to mandate school. And retired as a evidence officer. She was one of the good guys. When they take a oath to serve and protect etc they should take they oath seriously.

Cops are human. There are good cops and there are bad cops. In Manitowoc, there is no watchdog. Oh, I suppose you have the Herald Times-Reporter, and a couple of radio stations that go and pick up the blotter from the night before and regurgitate it on the air.

But other than that, there is no independent media, nobody keeping an eye on the keepers. I believe it's because the residents of Manitowoc are generally happy with the way things are. That's why this scrutiny probably scares them. For one, they're not used to it, and two, this was over 10 years ago, mostly forgotten by most, and then MaM comes along and opens up this big huge scab.

                            https://www.reddit.com/r/MakingaMurderer/comments/4la3lv/discussion_resuscitation_attemptduring_which/

What the residents of Manitowoc should demand is that their elected representatives, namely Jim Brey, Justin Nickels and Bob Zeigelbauer, stand up and demand an open and transparent investigation of the MTSO by the DOJ.

If they have nothing to hide, if Steven Avery really is guilty of murdering Teresa Halbach, then they should welcome this scrutiny.

The 3rd Degree was likely the law of the land for many years around there, the fact that NE Wisconsin was the home of many, many Sundown Towns underlies this.

Sadly, the LE community of Manitowoc County and the politicians who oversee it are going to have to be brought kicking and dragging into the 21st Century before any real change can take place.

Manitowoc could certainly use a good dose of sunshine and transparency, that's for sure.

                            1. Coming myself from a “sundown town”—that is, one which for most of the twentieth century remained whites-only, in part by disallowing even visits by African Americans after nightfall—I had read the work of the sociologist James Loewen on such places with great care. In the massive volume, Sundown Towns, and on the website accompanying and updating it, Loewen paid special attention to Wisconsin. Partly this was because, proportionately, so many of its towns fit into the sundown category and partly because their histories were so typical. Many had an early Black presence that was removed over time or in a hot moment. Some featured billboards warning of their policies. They included small towns, but also growing industrial ones, whose good, sometimes union, jobs became the property of whites.

I decided to do some googling about this Kr. guy, turns out he had a father named E.J.K. According to his father's obituary (DOD 1999), he belonged to a "Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 706" club.

                            http://www.2manitowoc.com/44Krcobit.html

So I decided to google ""Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 706" followed by "obituary".

I found a JZ, who I believe is related to GZ, was also apart of this Fraternal 706 Eagles thing: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/htrnews/obituary.aspx?n=jerome-m-zipperer&pid=154748200&

I also found a V.B.P that belonged to the club, it lists a Ken Peterson of Manitowoc as one of his survivors:

                            http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=petersen&GSfn=vinton&GSiman=1&GScid=87895&GRid=95216148&

                            I'm pretty sure I have the 1st 3 right.

I also found an E.K belonged to the club, I believe she is related to Sheriff Kocourek She belonged to the Manitowoc Eagles Aerie #706, pretty sure it's the same thing.

                            http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/htrnews/obituary.aspx?pid=170176884

Also found a Janda, I see the last name Tadych in there, any relation?

                            http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/htrnews/obituary.aspx?pid=171050643

EDIT: Found a Rad. that belonged to an Eagles club, yep the same Rad. family from MaM. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/htrnews/obituary.aspx?pid=151003374

I haven't done much more googling as I'm very tired, I'm just gonna leave this here, does this mean anything to ya'll?

EDIT: Found a Vogel, 706 club, related to our Vogel? I don't think it lists him, but maybe they're related somehow?

Well, there are quite a bit of "clubs" in Manitowc, in WI in general. The members of these clubs are very influential, many of them are business owners and have a stranglehold on the jobs and local economy there, you also have several of Manitowoc's own LE that apart of such club. This lawsuit was going to hit their friend's pockets HARD. LE is apart of a group of people, the club, which guarantee each other's success and promise jobs to each other, there are all sorts of deals and cash that can be made under the table as these "clubs" have so much power.

Eagles, per chance? I doubt they are members of the Yacht Club, but I could be wrong.

Eagles and Elks I believe, both clubs seem pretty cool with each other. There are probably some hidden clubs we don't even know about.

[–]knowjustice 9 points 19 hours ago

Yeah, Begota claims it's in the basement of the Eagles Club. Elks and Eagles, meh. The real money is elsewhere, about 25 miles south.

[–]Ctthrt 4 points 19 hours ago

Didn't know he named the clubs, I first watched the video once a couple months ago didn't know whether he was telling the truth or some guy trying to get famous.

But yeah, this seems like a smaller branch. It's funny cause they're a bunch of idiots, they confuse their success with intelligence. They got cocky with this case and now shit is blowing up in their faces. These people don't hire who's the brightest and best, just whoever does them favors, thus you surround yourself with idiots and shit like this happens.

Also it seems the Kocoureks, Vogels (I believe he's related to D. Vogel although not 100% sure), and Radandts have connections to TX, not sure what's there.

Vogel is from Flint, MI. He graduated with Ziggy from Notre Dame. Vogel went to Creighton Law School and Ziggy got his MBA at Wharton.

Oh, I don't disagree. My dad was a Mason, and he wasn't some weird, cult-like whacko trying to take over he world. LOL. I believe many employees of the MTSO were members of the local Eagles Club. It afforded them a safe, private place to socialize away from the public eye; however, members of the Manitowoc Eagles club were not members of Manitowoc's "upper crust." The big money folks belonged to the now defunct Country Club and the local Yacht Club.

They are everywhere, look at Hollywood. You don't think some corrupt shit is going down in the vatican or Windsor Hall, or the whitehouse? Manitowoc was just some dipshit outpost that got to sassy for their pants and got busted. They will get thrown under the bus, for the sacrifice of the greater evil that will make them pay for their stupidity, and somehow manage to come out un-noticed, people will still laugh at the mention of the Illuminati, New World Order, Zionism take-over. Because if people still aren't seeing this corruption beyond Manitowoc or Wisconsin, then they are still under mind control.

I RECIEVED THIS EMAIL. IF YOU WANT THE NUMBER CONTACT ME

I'm writing about the corruption in Manitowoc County, it is somewhat related to the Steven Avery/Brenden Dassey case on Netflix. The day before Christmas(this year) I called the Manitowoc Sheriffs office to report that Kay Kocourek had told me that Tom Kocourek, her brother and the ex sheriff here in our county, ran over and killed Ricky Hockstettler in 1999. I also told them that I was told that the vehicle was repaired at Pietroske s dealership and that I was told a man named Nick did the bodywork. I made it clear that I didn't know if the allegations were true or not but that this needed to be investigated. They told me they would make an apt for me to come in for a taped/filmed statement. Within an hour detective Dan Weyker(920-683-5011) called me up and said that WE have already investigated everything and and that I wouldn't need to come to the station. I've been targeted by this police organization ever since I got involved in Joe Dheins case. He was getting railroaded by the counties metro police division. He came to the tavern I was bartending at while attending the university of wi. Manitowoc campus. He told me some details and I asked if I could help. I set him up with an attorney Russel Stewart, the Ballesteros(sp?) bros lawyer in Milwaukee. At the trial the person that metro used as a witness stated that he was drunk when the metro unit picked him up and that his statements were false and that the police cohersed(sp? again) and made him file a false witness statement. The case was dismissed. When Joe first approached me at the bar he stated that he was being targeted by metro because he knew that Mark Anderson, head of metro at the time, had sexually abused Donnie Heins nephew(a friend of Joe). Kay was afraid to file a statement herself because she was abused in the Kocourek homes basement growing up and forced to perform felatio on her brother Gary. Kay has since passed, it would seem that these allegations or statements can't be verified but Kay's sister Sal is still alive and these same incestual practices were done to her. Robert Schmidt (920 860 1167). Kay's husband at the time of her death informed me that Kay and Sal went to her parents but were told that this didn't happen in a Kocourek household. He was also told the stories by Kay about her going to talk with brother Tom about the accident. Jeff Thompson (920 860 1124) was also told. I told Charlie Blish (920 973 6233) everything I knew over a lot of phone calls. I did this because he owned BD communications and did a lot of wiring for the county sheriff's dept. I wanted them to know that I knew things and that if they quit targeting me, my family and my friends that I would just shut up. I need to know where and how to make my statements. I also know and have talked to the german woman in this blog http://www.convolutedbrian.com/an-alternative.html and have talked to Dave from this you tube video https://www.youtube.com/embed/je35gOEL5wQ?autoplay=1

We need advice up here and we need to know who to report this info too. Please help my number is..

That's my email. Do you think you could take that down quicker than you could dig my foot out of your butt? People involved have friends and family up here. You're putting them in jeopardy. I'm in contact with the right people now. We're sitting here with our drapes pulled during the holiday season for the christ's sakes. Everyone of my neighbors are looking for snipers in the cemetery across the street. wth is wrong with you?

Just so you people know why he received my email- I talked to a man at wbay TV, a man with integrity. I told him this story and he said to report it to Brown Counties Sheriff dept. After my statement they said we'd like to help you BUT it's not our jurisdiction and they suggested I call the state police, which I did. The state police at Fond du Lac said the same thing and suggested I call the criminal investigation unit in Madison,608 266 1671. They unbelievably said no one was available for this and that I could fill out a form. I stated this was unacceptable and that I needed to come in and get a taped statement and that I was going to the FBI and I hung up. I waited a couple of days, trying to figure out where to go with this, and finally sent it to the MinnFBI and the federal DOJ. When I received no reply from them I decided to go directly to the lions den. I called the Manitowoc Sheriffs Dept. and spoke to the switchboard or desk person and stated that I needed to know the process to come in to make a report on the 99' death of Ricky Hockstettler. I then told her that I didn't know if this was true or not but it needs to be investigated. I had told her what Kay, the ex sheriff's sister, had told me. She patched me through to a lower ranking deputy sheriff officer that I told what Kay had said. He said that they would set up an appt. for this week for me to come in. Within an hour, Dan Weyker (920 683 5011)called me back and I told him what Kay said and that another person told me that the vehicle (Tom's) was fixed at Pietroskies by a bodyman that he thought was named Nick. He, Weyker, then told me that WE investigated this all back in '99 and that it was a Copps dept store party at the Bilmar. He then asked who I all told this stuff to. I replied no one and that this was a small town, knowing full well my list would all be intimidated. It's happened in this county before. I then reached out to Brian McCorkle who blew me off. So I reached out to Trump, I built his tennis courts at Mar A Lago in Florida, The old Emily Post Mansion. My friends explained why he couldn't do anything and I regretted sending it to him, bummer cause I really like that guy. At this point I was getting sick (stress really makes the disease I have worse) and didn't know where to turn I then reached out to Jerry Buting but couldn't find his email addy. Don't ask, I was really sick.

I contacted Bogatka (DrNephilim666) a few times to let him know that a person I know had invited me to his bar giveaway by the police and that I had found a person that had witnessed the ritualistic chanting that he talked about in his youtube statement to the 4 FBI branches that he sent the videos to. The house (mini mansion for these parts) was located on top of Spring St. in Manitowoc and owned by a family named Hansen (Hi Biff). The house is located on Michigan Ave. I think, I'm not about to leave this post box to check google maps. I have alot more info but that is going straight to Buting and Anonymous soon, probally as soon as I'm done typing here. If you guys want to have a good read go to the 'Justice for Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey' group on Facebook; it's a closed group and you will need to be accepted. As Terrel said "Get you popcorn ready" cause I'm not staying intimidated anymore....I promised Kay one day I would find a way to get her story out, and I made a promise to Ricky's mother too. Enough is enough. Now lets get the post with names down, please. I've got this handled. My email to the poster above was only made to leave enough foot prints that maybe they wouldn't off me.

As you folks can tell I tried many avenues to get 1, just 1 law enforcement agency to take my statement so something like this wouldn't get posted on the internet in plain sight. I'm sorry that my friends' names and numbers got posted. Kay, Ricky's mom, the Averys and many more families in Manitowoc County have cried themselves to sleep many nights. If they come to kill me today I just don't give a shit. BUT, you crooked cops should be forewarned that my house is set up with a camera so that the world can see. I didn't believe what the German woman told me at Glenn's bar but the fact that a cop was sitting at the end of the bar (by the pay phone) keeping an eye on her and her violent husband made me keep coming back to check on her. The cop's haircut and black leather jacket just didn't fit in, so I took note. After three or four visits she just disappeared. I was on the run since 1980, after getting Dhien the lawyer that law enforcement round these parts refer to as the mob. No driver's license and no pay stubs. Whenever my personal info hit the data banks (such as a paystub or my California license), I'd be on the road again. I'm sure the Manitowoc Sheriff's Dept is starting a smear campaign against me now as I type but, folks, if I needed to be put in jail they would have me there now, silenced. So whatever they come up with I just don't care. I'm somewhat proud of my ccap record; the police should give me a medal. The last 5 guys I beat the hell out of are all dead. Not by me: they were the type of dealers that sold drugs to people that hurt people. The cops were either not smart enough to catch them or the criminals were just so dumb that it was easier for the cops to keep track of all their (the people I fought with) druggie friends. I don't know. The arguments I got into with my ex were caused by the law also. When I was away in the Navy one of the business owners up here thought it was acceptable to pursue my then wife.

The DrNephilim666 videos on youtube will tell you all you need to know about the club. If anything up here resembled a mafia it was this "club'. Watch all 3 parts. Go ahead and look at my ccap. Steven Walter (Willard) Grimm (My confirmation name, which is my Dad who was set up by these turds, also). Enough is enough. I'm ready to play dueling polygraphs with the whole lot of em. When I was about 13 my mother told me there's a certain group of people that think they run this town. She said the undesirables get felonies and get disarmmed. She told me life isn't about what you're looking at, it's what you see; and that it's not about what you're listening to, but what you hear. She used to come home in a jailer's sheriff outfit and play cribbage all night with judge Jones while bartending. She'd come home with some wild conspiracy theories and I'd listen to them all. You pukes up here have to stop setting people up. I could list alot of people that did nothing wrong but the Manitowoc create a criminal code just keeps rolling along. Forgive my grammatical and spelling errors folks: most of the time I'm typing in the dark and I'm frazzled waiting for them to knock the door down. More to come from what should be known in the future as Avery county, if I'm still here and I have the internet yet. Have a good day....

                          13. Police: Manitowoc school intruder high on drugs, thought he was a knight

Update: Steven Grimm’s bail was set at $1,000 cash Friday. As of 3:30 Friday afternoon, he was still in the Manitowoc County Jail.

Manitowoc Lincoln High School went into lockdown Thursday morning after a man on drugs was found inside, thinking he was in a castle, police say.

Steven Grimm, 58, was arrested for trespassing, damaging property for breaking the window of an empty classroom, battery for fighting with school staff, and burglary.

Police say Grimm admitted using marijuana, narcotics and alcohol the night before. He told police he thought he was a knight.

“Throughout the night he was having some illusions of being a knight in a castle, and with the way that Lincoln High School is shaped, with that tower up there, his goal was getting up into that tower,” Police Capt. Larry Zimney said.

Police say Grimm was on the third floor heading for the school tower when a student noticed him, knew he didn’t belong in the school, and alerted staff. That was about 6:45 a.m.

The Manitowoc Public School District says custodians tried to contain Grimm, who lunged at them and punched them.

“He made a comment that he had to leave now, and then immediately lunged at them, striking them with his fist,” Zimney said.

Officers were able to quickly arrest Grimm, who didn’t have any weapons. He’s being held in the Manitowoc County Jail.

Officers then started a sweep of the rest of the school to make sure no one else was inside.

Students arriving for classes were told to go to the cafeteria or auditorium — areas police cleared as “safe zones” — while officers searched the building.

“I just came into the doors and there were a bunch of cop cars, like it wasn’t normal at first. And then they just told us to go to the auditorium or cafeteria and they explained really what happened, someone broke in,” said student Jordan Meisner.

“They say whatever happened, the police took care of it, class just resumed,” senior Mollie Hang said.

The lockdown was lifted shortly after 8 a.m. and students went to class.

Police plan to review school security videos to figure out how he got inside the school but say it’s likely he walked in after school doors opened around 6 a.m.

“We have students who do fitness classes and clubs beginning as early as 6:30 in the morning supervised by staff, so we will confine to review the process, but we do have to have some doors open for our students to be able to come in,” Superintendent Mark Holzman said.

The superintendent says they’ll review security policies after police finish their investigation, but 1,300 students attend Lincoln High School so it’ll be difficult to limit entrances during the morning hours.

We have to let this go. My email was meant for police eyes only. I told brian, the brain McCorkle, that when he said that he forwarded them to a reporter. I don't know if the poster that decided it was fit for public eyes is him, the reporter, someone else involved in law enforcement itself just trying to police itself, or.......the list is endless. That's an inherent problem with the net; you don't know who's typing. I'm not afraid to identify myself when I have conviction in my beliefs. The fact of the matter is that the system has failed Ricky's mother and that I saw fit to fight for her as best I could. If you people notice, I went to law officials and I went hard. I trusted in our system and I still do. Now these were people I feared, but I had no choice. I made promises, dammit. Then there was Kay, that netflix documentary, dr. nephilim's youtube video (which I believe), McCorkle's blog with a german woman I met: all gave me courage to fight for what's right. An investigation. That's all. In that netflix documentary, episode 9, about 55 minutes in, Strang talks about Dassey and it killed a piece of me inside. Then Teresa's home movie comes on and there's more pain and inner turmoil. Then you get a couple of judges that didn't have to pass a bar exam and you feel that a good ol boys club really does exist up here; and when they hand down those sentences and a little bit more of me got eaten away. Finally Strang and Buting give us a life lesson. I truly think they were trying to communicate with police officers, DA's, judges and juries as well as we individuals everywhere. Letting sleeping dogs lie would have been my easy choice but my convictions would not permit me to stand aside. All I wanted was an investigation. Dan Weyker at the Manitowoc Sheriff's office really let me down and then infuriated me with that "Who did you all tell?" comment. I wasn't about to be intimidated, and decided to fight for what's right. They should have known they couldn't intimidate me; they couldn't do it when they sent one of their narcs in Richard's bar when I was working to put a gun to my head and order me to get him a drink (I laughed and called 911 and told them to come collect him before I had to hurt him) - the social butterfly known as Barry Novak must have thought I was nuts when he witnessed this. But I still believe in our system as a whole. Without it we'd have nothing but chaos and anarchy. I would do this all over again to get Ricky's mother the answer she deserves. We can't let a few bad apples in life wreck our society, our structure, or our belief. This is one hell of alot of life strife to ask for an investigation, but it's only made my faith stronger, now that the boys are getting a new trial. Too bad Ricky's mother still has no idea what to think about her son's death. I would love to get alanamb37 alone for a chat right about now; he must have known I was running out of options. I don't know how he got it but I'm glad he had the courage to post it. That person deserves a hug. Sorry Deb, you may never get justice for your son. We can speculate all we want; the police have the job of investigating. I trust that they will.......Now I'm done (not likely) .......go pack go

Late in early January 1999, there was a rumoured MTSO function at the Bil-Mar. A banquet hall that handles weddings and parties, etc. Important to note, there was a main hall, and a bar area.

Late that night, 230AM a motorist reported a deceased boy on the road.

Hermann (who would later be Sheriff) was called to the scene as a 'auto-expert', he claimed later this case was 'career making' even though it was unsolved. The problem is he says he was called to the scene between 1:30-2:30, but the accident hadn't been reported until 2:30.

Was he called there earlier because an MTSO Sheriff (Kocourek) was the person driving? Some people have implied this in online posts.

Worth noting Bushman was in charge of the case and it went unsolved. Bushman also came out of retirement to help with the Avery case.

AND, someone local claimed that Kocourek's deceased sister, had told him personally this was all true. This is an alleged claim mind you. But the person who reportedly made it, stated the cops told him there was no MTSO party at Bil-Mar that night, that it was a COPPS grocery store party instead. Many people from the area have been told the same thing. The problem is that it was apparently common knowledge MTSO was there that night.

And even if not, did they not check every single person that was there. Its the closest place for a drunk driver to have come from that night.

The poster who made these claims online, also stated that Kocourek's late sister told him that indeed it was Kocourek. And he had the body work done at this dealership by someone named Nick. Notice the name of the VP who's been second in charge in that company for 20 years: http://www.pietroske.com/Staff.

There's two "Nick's" in the Avery case. One might be related to ST, NT, who worked at the aluminum factor and is listed in the police reports. It's also been stated he's a friend of MTSO staff. And then N Mirsberger, who was the guy they called to move the RAV4. If the story is real (mind you this is all just allegations/speculations) made online, it certainly makes people wonder if one of those Nicks might be one in the same.

The cops searched over 10,000 possible vehicles in the 6 closest counties. Narrowed down to a GM vehicle, either Van, SUV or Truck, within a 5 year generation. The idea that they couldn't solve this, with all the DMV information at their disposable is kinda hard to imagine.

I find it way too odd that PB was the victim and Kocourek was her neighbor. WTF? Allen picked his victims, they were never random. Why PB? How did he know she was at the beach that day and would go for a run? Think about his MO. If PB was a random victim, did he figure out her phone number from news reports and then start prowling the sheriff's neighborhood because he knew he would never be charged?

                            [–]Classic_Griswald 3 points 1 month ago

Suddenly Begokta's claim of him spotting a bunch of what he thought were cops/officials, near the PB assault area, as if they were standing around helping with it, or whatever....

                            Nah...

I mean, it might make for a good sequel to Eyes Wide Shut. But it's way too out there to take seriously.

Agreed though. There is something about Allen, why he targeted who he did (?). Why was he getting the protections he was (?). There is something definitely missing from this story.

                            Something big.

                            Manitowoc is a flat circle.

The look between MH and RH about the RAV4 search is loaded with some kind of hidden world, some universe we can only guess at, I don't even know where to start. It's not subtle.

I don't think RH killed Teresa. I think he was trying to protect her and they got involved with forces in Manitowoc they should not have been near... Perhaps it started with dealing some molly, moved onto erotic parties, and progressed from there.

My main data point for even taking this seriously is Dave Begotka's story which pre-date MaM by many years. It surrounds "The Club" and while I'd like to say this is bullshit, Dave and his wife would seem to have no motive other than truth. He's all over the original MaM sub, but here's a link to his own site:

                            http://www.begotka.com/steve-avery-theclub/

So let's imagine TH is having an affair or is photographing something. Let's say she attempts to use these photographs as blackmail against a wife in one of these affairs, or for some other kind of leverage, or money. Let's say there is a leader of The Club called the Yellow King.

The YK is friends with Undersheriff Herman. They talk at these parties, know of one another's problems and it's also possible some of the higher ups in LE are members of the club and this erotic underground is a real thing. From this perspective, TH and SA both emerge as problems about the same time.

As the deadline and depositions for the lawsuit build to a conclusion, the time for radical action is near. TH is offed by the YK or one of his underlings, RH is threatened into operationalizing the RAV4 discovery etc. RH and MH might both well know about TH's participation and be under threat. This means that Lenk, Colborn, and most of the lower level LE stuff we are observing is being done by people who honestly believe SA is guilty. I don't think Colborn is bullshitting about the plates. My model of this crime predicts the following:

RH did not make the calls to TH or delete them. The Yellow King or his henchmen did. The calls do not contain information about RH threatening TH, but something far more threatening to the YK. Because I think RH was trying to keep TH out of this mess, protecting her. As was MH. The look they exchange in the TV clip tells me that they thought something like this might happen to TH and probably tried to warn her. Sadly to no avail...

We will not find good inculpatory evidence against LE with re-testing. We will find more noise and inconclusive data going nowhere. This is because LE had nothing directly to do with the crime.

SA was framed, but not by law enforcement. He and TH are in fact co-joined victims serving a higher order strategy of the YK.

I am aware that this is fantastical and probably wrong. But honestly, why couldn't this be real? It honestly sits better with me than RH, JR, or LE being the real killers.

There's actually a Netflix's movie out "Who took Johnny" that's fascinating - that and the Franklin scandal really illustrate just how pervasive these "clubs" are - and delving into these stories shows how government officials, and local law enforcement, and the media make these things go away and how sometimes how the corruption goes very high up in the government - in these stories all the way to the Whitehouse.

Could it be that the 1985 case was ALL about protecting GA because he was an agent for one of these organizations, and was valuable to them because he procured (kidnapped) children for thier human trafficking. Possibly because of PB status in the community they needed a conviction asap and they needed GA protected, and the 2005 case was all about the $$$?

I was searching old info back in 2005 to see what some people were saying during that time. I found this website http://riehlworldview.com/2005/11/steven_avery_ch.html#comment-216938 . This blog was started Nov 15th 2005. I noticed this comment on January 21 2006. It seems even before MAM came out some people were well aware of the "Good Ole Boys " network in Manitowoc and had a feeling they were involved in framing Avery.

Court Relative says: January 21, 2006 at 11:38 pm This tragic case is about police corruption and murderous cover-up. If I were a Judge there, I would have those officers hind quarters in front of my bench and not Mr. Avery. The Wisconsin Innocence Project proved Mr. Avery’s innocence on a previous case using new and advanced DNA testing which the officers were not able devise a plan for and now Manitowoc is attempting to cover its ungodly acts by adding the blood of an innocent girl with the persecution and destruction of an innocent man. The Manitowoc Sheriffs Department is known as a northern style “good ole boy” network that would rival the KKK counties in the south, complete with a lot of false arrests and arrogant, poorly trained and disciplined deputies. Children are also placed on death row at age 17. Shareef C. , 16 at the time of the crime and just 17 at the time of conviction, became the country’s youngest death row inmate in 1996. Eventually granted a retrial, he was released from death row in 1999 after the state dropped charges. There is overwhelming evidence that he was subjected to the cruelty of the death penalty for a crime he did not commit. Finally, I personally knew a Manitowoc deputy who threatened me to sign a contract that would give him all my assets or I would be met with unequal litigation, police corruption and bodily harm and death. This department and its deputies and all law enforcement agencies and courts that give comfort and aid to this department should be disbarred and sentenced to prison.

                          22. At Manitowoc, glowing job reviews norm, not exception in sheriff's command staff

                            April 24, 2017

I've spent a lot of time over the past year traveling between Appleton and Manitowoc as part of my research into the leadership at the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department. A number of people have suggested that the agency's problems start at the top.

From 2007-2016, more than 100 employees answered to Sheriff Rob Hermann, who rounded out his inner circle with Undersheriff/Inspector Gregg Schetter and Hermann's own younger brother Todd Hermann, as Deputy Inspector of Operations. The three go way back - the two men who promoted Todd Hermann to third in command and handled all of Todd's job reviews during the past decade both served as groomsmen in Todd's wedding party in 1993 when Todd married Shelby Prigge.

Todd consistently received "Exceeds Job Requirements" in his performance reviews. "Todd is very skilled at anticipating possible problems and resolving them before they become critical," Schetter wrote. "He applies exceptional information gathering and analytical skills to even the most difficult problems."

Fourth in command has been Andy Colborn, lieutenant of detectives. His reviews are handled by fellow detective, Dave Remiker, a lifelong Manitowoc County resident from Mishicot.

In 2016, Remiker gave Colborn an overall job review that Exceeds Job Requirements for 2015.

"What has been said about Lt. Colborn is completely and one hundred percent unsubstantiated," Remiker wrote last year. "There are not enough words to describe how well Lt. Colborn handled all of the attention. Many others could have very easily allowed the threats to affect them personally and professionally. This was not the case with Lt. Colborn."

"Despite what is being reported in the 'news,' I feel my ethics and honesty are my best attribute," Colborn wrote. "I will continue to serve this agency and this community to the best of my ability."

On the subject of report writing: "I would be willing to commit that Lt. Colborn is probably one of if not the most thorough report documenting individual in this department," Remiker wrote in Colborn's job review ending 2014. "Lt. Colborn's documentation of his path to information is nearly unteachable."

"I cannot think of any training required or needed at this time," Remiker wrote of Colborn. "The analogy of not being able to teach an old dog new tricks is all that needs to be said about this evaluation."

In his self-evaluation, Colborn noted, "While some cases were not prosecuted, the ones that were involved the defendant(s) being found guilty each and every time."

Over the past decade, Colborn has taken initiative to place several special recognition reports into Remiker's personnel file. Remiker - who is my age 44 - got into the department's ride-a-long program and became a reserve deputy during his late teens. He was hired shortly thereafter. Back in 1996, Sheriff Tom Kocourek informed Remiker, then 23, that he was their Law Enforcement Officer of the Year recipient. In November 2006, three months before Avery's murder trial, Colborn gave Remiker a special recognition report for assisting on a sexual assault investigation -Case #2006-08196.

"Dave, we rely on you constantly, yet you never disappoint," Colborn wrote. "I appreciate that you are willing to work as a team with anyone and thank you for the tireless effort on this case!"

                          23. Most people who watched "Making a Murderer" may not even realize Lenk worked the first four years of his career as a Detroit Police Officer. In his twenties, he did undercover narcotics in Detroit. He had specialized training as a sniper. He made good money for that era and his base salary increased accordingly, but then in 1976, he left the Detroit police force. Fast forward a decade. Lenk was married, living around Manitowoc and working at a Fleet Farm retail store. He applied at the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department with Sheriff Tom Kocourek. He was re-hired back into the profession.

Lenk's final review before retiring and collecting his police pension came in 2011. "Lt. Lenk has been recognized and granted the 2010 Officer of the Year Award," Todd Hermann wrote. "To be nominated for this award is an honor, to receive it is truly an accomplishment."

                          24. Harmless or satanic? Manitowoc Windigo Fest draws protest from downtown business owner
                            USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin
                            Sept. 29, 2017

MANITOWOC - In what some view as a harmless Halloween festival and others as a satanic celebration, the first Windigo Fest will take over the streets of downtown Manitowoc during the first weekend in October.

Jody Dubinsky, owner of Treasures in downtown Manitowoc, said this festival is darker than it seems on the surface. She became concerned when her own research turned up old Native American tales of a creature called the windigo, sometimes spelled wendigo, which eats human beings and devours their souls, particularly young children.

She said she was also concerned about the dates of the festival, Oct. 6-7, adding up to 13, a number associated with evil, and the parade going backward on Eighth Street, an action she said would welcome the devil.

“When it is portrayed as a Halloween festival, my concern is that there will be families with children partaking in these events,” Dubinsky said. “I have nothing against Halloween, but you’re not going to see Superman or little princesses at this festival. You’ll see ghouls and goblins.”

However, Dawn Dabeck, owner of Dead by Dawn Dead and Breakfast and one of the masterminds behind Windigo Fest, said there people will be dressed as princesses and demons, and everything in between.

“It’s just going to be a whole lot of fun, and we … are encouraging people to dress up and come down and have fun and have drinks and eat and be crazy and safe,” Dabeck said. “We are not looking to cause any problems in Manitowoc. I have been doing Halloween for a long time … there is nothing satanic about any of this stuff. It is just pure Halloween fun.”

Dabeck said she uses the windigo figure because it hasn’t been overused or popularized and so makes it easier to brand as a Manitowoc specialty.

“It could have been any figure that wasn’t already overused. … We can brand that and make it Manitowoc’s own,” she said. “‘Manitowoc’ is a Native American word and so is ‘windigo.’ It’s a Great Lakes thing.”

                          25. The event includes a costume contest, a blood drive by the Red Cross, parade, pall-bearer relay, horror film contest, “dark arts” display and contest, and musical performances by The Badpiper — a finalist in Australia’s Got Talent — and Road Trip.

Dabeck said the dates for the festival were chosen because it was the first weekend in October and didn’t conflict with any other area events. She said the idea they were chosen because of the correlation to the number 13 is ridiculous, since the festival will land on different dates each successive year.

As for the parade, the only reason it is going the wrong way — starting at Bank First National at 402 N. Eighth St. and ending at the festival grounds on Franklin Street — is so the participants will end up at the festival, Dabeck said.

“This is not a satanic parade, we are not walking backwards, we are just going the wrong way down the street,” she said.

Dubinsky and several other Manitowoc citizens spoke against the Windigo Fest at the Sept. 19 city council meeting, saying the festival would welcome Satan into the community.

Dubinsky said she and many others have convened for prayer meetings to pray about the festival. She encourages families to do their own research about the festival and make the right decision for their children.

“Don’t come down here unless you know what this festival is about,” she said.

Treasures will be closed for business Oct. 6-7, the days of the festival, in a show of non-support for the community event, Dubinsky said.

Windigo Fest has received widespread support from the community. In addition to the more than 20 sponsors listed on the website, the Windigo Society — a local non-profit focused on improving tourism in Manitowoc — has received a $13,000 Discover Manitowoc grant from the City of Manitowoc Room Tax Commission and a $5,000 Joint Effort Marketing grant from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism.

“We are thrilled to support a creative new event that infuses modern Halloween traditions with regional folk history,” said Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett in a press release Sept. 28 from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. “Windigo Fest is a fun way to attract new visitors to Manitowoc and create a positive economic impact for the community.”

Dabeck said she loves Manitowoc and feels tourism is especially important to the downtown area. She said she plans to continue to organize the festival each year and hopes it will grow to be an attraction for visitors to the area.

Lol. No motive? No means? The fact that RH accessed her phone and deleted evidence would have made an actual investigator interested in him.

I am from that area and have since moved away. I know how communities like that work.

In the real world it would have been RH that would have been behind bars defending himself.

I actually forgot that this sub went to shit and is full of the inbred defenders of the six families that exist up there.

You just got the tip of the iceberg of what is coming. The whole small town good old boy justice system is coming down on you all.

It just doesn't work like that. Right now the state is trying to find a way to minimize their losses but will for sure be throwing a lot of people under the bus. Just wait.

Inbred idiots. Again. There are just a few families up there and they will say or do anything to protect their little empire. The problem is that the whole country is witness to the mess that is happening. Now that the world is seeing it, the federal government is coming in.

I can not bring myself to believe that the initial 85 case, the hush up of the 95 call, that was actually discussed by many according to GK, the questions surrounding the RH hit and run death, are all serendipity and coincidental. I do not believe the SM incident would have singularly led to the hatred of the Avery family. I believe the Herrman family and their business and whatever transpired in the Ricky case, all are enormous contributing factors in this. Whether all the layers of deceit and wrongdoing will ever be exposed is doubtful but I do believe KP and RH were instrumental in TH demise.

I’m here daily but rarely comment, I did however make an OP (is that even the right term lol?) on my old acct that I lost when I changed phones, episode 10, Allen Avery opening the episode saying “They ruined us. I thought Avery was a good name, and they knocked it down to nothing”.... something along those lines, and I braved up and posted on how strongly that statement gave me an ah-ha moment. Their name, i.e. their business, was practically destroyed by this. Who benefits from the demise of their business? Why the competitor business owned by the family of one of the boys in the club.

They could not pin this on GA because a quick drive into his criminal records would expose the extreme leniency he received from the judge and DA. GA should have already been locked up and if they would have done their job the PB rape would have never happened. The press would'be have a field day. A PR nightmare on why they let this peeping Tom continue to roam free and escalate his criminal behavior. Also a good peeping Tom would peep and get dirt on those in power like a judge and DA so that if you do get caught you have leverage. GA's criminal record shows he was the true danger. He's the one who needed to be eradicated from the community, not SA. That is if you are truly their to serve and protect. Blame it on Avery and you avoid a PR nightmare and investigation and as an added bonus, your fellow officer's salvage business booms. MCSO does serve and protect...their own.

TK and DV, absolutely knew it was GA, I get so angry over this, because they knew. DV failed to charge GA with the sexual assault of a teen, just 2 weeks prior, and combined with everything else he had done, he should've been in jail, then the PB incident would have never happened.

Then DV makes the comment that GA never appeared to him to be a big time criminal, that he thought his crimes were only peeping type cases!!

Also, he was convinced that the SM incident was sexually motivated with SA!!! SA clearly told investigators that the incident with SM was because she was spreading rumors about him.

These are the reasons why I think they purposely framed him for the PB incident. Then they throw in the attempted murder charge for a sexual assault? They went overboard, they were dead wrong, they completely ignored ALL of his alibi witnesses, then after release, TK goes on camera to say, no harm was meant, POS.

THEY FRAMED HIM THEN, AND THEY FRAMED HIM AGAIN.

                            [–]Ceazar1722

Vogel fabricated an alibi for Allen saying he had to check in with his parole officer in door county so he couldn't have committed the PB rape. This fabrication allowed them to rule out Allen and frame Avery. Excerpt from letter from Mark Rohrer Manitowoc DA (after Avery was freed) requesting DOJ to investigate: Vogel told her [DA employee who suggested Allen as rapest] that Allen could not have committed the crime because he was on probation in Door County at the time the crime was committed and that Allen's probation officer had been contacted and the probation officer verified that Allen had an alibi covering the time the crime was committed. [Investigators later discovered that Allen was not placed on probation until April 2, 1986, well after Avery's conviction.]"

He tries to say Gregory Allen had an Alibi and could not have committed the crime b/c GA was on probation blah blah blah but as you can see they checked it out and it was not true. So that would be his MO. Source

                            Edit:

I want to thank /u/Crystalscave for pointing out that not only did Vogel try to say GA had an Alibi but this info came from 2 separate people from the DA's office. Their recollection of this are almost identical.

Following were two different people in the DA's office (Vogel) who voiced concerns that it wasn't Avery, but instead Gregory Allen:

                            1) "She stated she was vocal about how she felt and had had conversations with the officers involved. She believes Vogel would have heard her make those comments. She heard that someone had checked with a probation officer in Door County who stated that Allen was in Sturgeon Bay at the time of the assault. She believes she heard this in Vogel's office."

2)" [Redacted name] currently works as paralegal in Manitowoc County DA's office. In 1985, she was a secretary there. She told investigators that when she saw the composite drawing, she immediately thought it was Allen. She was familiar with Allen because of his prior contacts with the DA's office. She believes he may have come to the front counter. She claimed that she told Vogel the drawing looked like Allen and not Avery. Vogel told her that Allen could not have committed the crime because he was on probation in Door County at the time the crime was committed and that Allen's probation officer had been contacted and the probation officer verified that Allen had an alibi covering the time the crime was committed. [Investigators later discovered that Allen was not placed on probation until April 2, 1986, well after Avery's conviction.]"

                          29. 'Making a Murderer' juror on Steven Avery's trial was a volunteer for Manitowoc County Sheriffs, his son was a sergeant
                            By ALFRED NG
                            JAN 07, 2016

One of Steven Avery's jurors on his famous "Making a Murderer" trial was a Manitowoc County Sheriff volunteer, with a son who served as a sergeant, court records revealed.

A volunteer for the Manitowoc sheriffs, the same department Avery was suing for wrongful imprisonment, was one of the jurors that put the convicted killer behind bars, OnMilwaukee reported.

Carl Wardman was confirmed to be a sheriff's volunteer and a jury during the 2007 trial, Sheriff Robert Hermann said.

Wardman had been a volunteer with the department for at least a year before the trial started.

He was one of the Manitowoc County sheriff's department's most active volunteers, clocking in over 300 hours in 2007.

Even though Wardman revealed that he was a volunteer with the department, he was not ruled out of the selection process.

During Wardman's interview, he said police officers could get away with lying in court since judges and juries would believe them.

He even said he was framed himself once, of robbing a police officer for $3.

He was selected as a juror, even after he revealed his son, Chris Wardman, was a sergeant within the Manitowoc County sheriff's department for at least seven years before the trial started.

Chris had been with the Manitowoc County Sheriff's department since January 2000, working as a shift supervisor and officer for the corrections department, according to his LinkedIn.

The sheriff's department has been accused of corruption after the gripping "Making a Murderer" series released on Netflix.

Even during the 2007 trial, Avery's defense claimed the department was framing their client by planting evidence throughout the investigation.

Avery had already been wrongfully imprisoned by the Manitowoc County's sheriff's department for 18 years, and worried that it was happening all over again after he sued the county for $36 million.

Manitowoc County's law enforcement officials have come under fire since the "Making a Murderer" docu-series released, with many viewers clamoring for Avery's release.

One of the jurors revealed to the series' creators on Tuesday that they believe Avery was framed, but voted guilty in fear for their lives.

A petition calling for President Obama to pardon Steven Avery reached 129,793 signatures before it was closed.

Imagine for a moment "if" Steven were actually guilty ....there he is on the local news, on TV, and the reporter is asking him whether or not he's been asked to take a "polygraph" test ?.... no red flag there, Steven?

...this is just one of the THREE in-your-face warnings that Steven got from Andy, Jimmy, Dave and the TV News Crew ... over a 24 hour period Steven was searched, questioned, televised... no red flags?

... "if" he was guilty, Steven has nerves of steel...

... he is shuffling around on the ashes of Teresa Halbach...the alleged burn pit is 20 yards away, (had that pyre actually happened, ashes would've dispersed to cover that entire corner area of ASY) any person who has ever had a big "bombfire" knows what happens...AND the smell from burning flesh would have permeated damn near everything around, you would have been able to smell the garage walls...

... the burn barrel full of "evidence" is 20 feet from where he is standing, talking to the reporter...Steven is Keyser Soze...so cool...

... the rav4 plates are "hidden" in a car not 30 feet from where Steven is being interviewed...

... the guns were hanging above his headboard... because that's what murderers do, immediately after committing heinous crimes, they prominently display their weapons, in the most self-incriminating location possible...yeah. no.

... the Rav4 was literally a stone's throw yonder...because that's what killers do...they make sure that an undeniable, irrefutable connect-the-dots trail of incriminating evidence leads directly back to themselves...ya know, cuz....EVIDENCE !....

                            ... Does Steven worry ?....NOPE,

... Does Steven lift a finger to gather up all that easily found "evidence" and dispose of it ?...NOPE

                            ... WHY ?

... this is the point where the logical, honest, intelligent adults look upon judge fucking idiot Willis, we shake our heads...

This is what convinced me of his innocence while watching MAM for the first time. It doesn’t make sense at all. That he would clean up every molecule of trace evidence, and leave all of the blatantly obvious BIG “evidence” in plain sight.

Classic indicators of a frame job...physical items, easily transported, easily concealed, superficially planted so as to be easily "discovered", planted in such fashion that they all point to only one patsy...

... notice the total absence of microscopic forensic evidence...

... the absence of a crime scene...

... the absence of any coherent narrative regarding an actual crime...

... the total abandonment of S O P, total violation of protocols...

... flagrant violations of Rules of Evidence Laws...

... the odds of all this bullshit behavior converging on Steven's case ?

... PLEASE. Spare me, spare us all, enough of the lies,...

                            ... Steven is innocent...

While searching for videos related to this case a little thumbnail popped up of KP during his deposition. It is the first video of a 5 part series done by JF when he was still working at the Post Crescent. The links to these articles have been posted on this board a few times in the past.

Unfortunately, due to changes to the Post Crescent website, foreigners are unable to watch the first video.

The other 4 videos are available at the USA Today youtube channel but not this first part.

So I've collected all 5 parts for other non-american/ EU members, enjoy.

I bet I wrote thousands of letters. I contacted LE all over the country with phone calls. I think I went to the SBI in 1981 and I know I have been to the FBI in 2 states. I talked to many people in authority, and I think I covered ALL the important agencies.

Besides a sketch I drew of him [Edward Wayne Edwards, who Margene knew as Ralph Ulysses Brickenshaw], I wrote a ton of letters trying to get someone to stop him, especially around 1988 into the 1990’s.

After a while I tried to accept that I was mentally ill or psychic. I was committed by the police because I called for help when my children and I were being threatened in 1989.

After I got out I contacted the people who studied the Kennedy Assassination and met with them and we figured the Zodiac Killer was after me.

The more I tried to get him stopped, the more he taunted me.

Edwards was connected to what is sometimes referred to as the "Good Old Boys."

It was much too late for me when the FBI went in and destroyed their informant’s ID making equipment and the things in his black van. I was just a citizen. Have you ever had the feeling the government doesn’t care for citizens?

Edward Wayne Edwards was supposed to have left a safety deposit box. My guess is the government seized it so we will never know what was in it. The government is supposed to be liable for crimes he committed while on parole in 1967-1977.

                          33. Edwards was drawn to the media’s obsession with murder cases, and used this to his advantage; oftentimes the “victim” in Edwards’ killings was the person he set up for the murder, rather than the person he killed, according to Cameron.

“He kept telling me that we didn’t know the entire story”, he continues. “The Zodiac set people up his entire life. That was the point Ed tried to make with me before he died. He set people up.”

Cameron explains that Edwards was a ritual killer, with his murders occurring on dates that tie to the occult, Catholic holidays, US holidays, and important dates in his life, such as his mother’s birthday and the day of her death.

“He was brilliant, had no conscience and was always inside the cops under assumed identity”, Cameron explains.

“When he got identified in 2010 as a serial killer, cops all over the USA recognised him. He had been an informant since 1950. That is why everyone has such a hard time with Ed. He fooled us all, and that is what the Zodiac Killer said he was doing. He laid all the pieces of the puzzle out to be solved by someone smarter then him.”

Which may be the crux of how he was able to avoid detection for so long — nobody likes being made a fool of.

“There is a lot of egg on high powered faces”, he notes, “and that is why everyone is trying to discredit Ed.”

Cameron believes he knows the truth. “The letters and puzzles were always the answer.”

                          34. You can't run... (a story about a mother and her five sons)
                            by Supreme000 at Reddit

I grew up in a town much like this one.

I was raised by a woman who lost three sons in one day.

My mother was always fair. On her son's 2nd birthday, she bought the three brothers toy bow and arrows so all three would have a present.

They went off to play in the woods as my mother cleaned up the birthday party.

Police would later find a bully in the woods playing with toy bow and arrows. He said he found them by the water hole...and saw bubbles coming up.

This was in a time when they didn't think kids were capable of murder.

Two of my mother's three sons were embraced when they pulled them out of the water. Where was the third...alone. He was pulled up alone.

They knew they were pushed in. Nothing was done.

Important to note here...my mother was married to the most powerful and rich man in the town. She left him and married my father. The poorest man in town. He was a drunk and abusive. She left that too.

I was raised by a woman who had faced hell on this earth.

My mother moved from there when I was 11.

My brother did not move with us...he was about to be married.

Through bad health, she was determined to surprise my brother on his birthday.

He died while she was on her way there. I rushed there to be at her side when they told her.

At my brother's burial, there was a group of men, all dressed in the same black suit. Before they lowered his casket, those men circled his casket. All holding hands, except for the two in front. One whispered to the next...and it [the whispering to the next] went around his casket, until it reached the two not holding hands. Then they joined hands.

My mother explained to me that my brother was a Freemason. This was a ritual done to close a link that his death caused.

Still reading? I applaud you then.

My mother never got over my brother's death. She passed from a heart attack a year later...when I was 23.

My brother loved the fast life. Fast cars, fast motorcycles, and fast women.

My brother had married the daughter of the Chief of Police.

He cheated on his wife a lot, I learned.

Two years ago, I was contacted by a young man who wanted to know about my brother...his father. I thought my brother got some girl pregnant. I didn't see what was coming.

This boy was by my brother's wife's sister. I was shocked. He told me they had hid it...and he was raised to believe his father was someone else, until at 18 they told him the truth.

This young man looked identical to my brother. He also went to school and worked the same job my brother did. He also loved motorcycles...

So let me land this plane...someone saw a car chasing my brother that night [the night he died] on his motorcycle. I did the math...it was the same time this sister [his wife's sister] was pregnant.

I could go on....I know for a fact my brother was murdered...the murderer confessed to me.

After my mother passed, I went back looking for that boy who pushed her kids in. I found out he lived a drunkard's life...and died while swinging on a rope over the creek. He hit the water wrong and broke his neck. He drowned. Ironic.

Anyone who thinks this twisted stuff does not go on in these small towns...is naive. People keep focusing on the dirt of the poor Averys. You'd be surprised at what the rich in these towns hide.

My mother always said..."The truth, and the sun, will always come out."

"Police are still searching for a group of men, who the children say arrived at Franck V.'s apartment in suits and ties, with their faces hidden behind masks — a striking contrast to the largely uneducated, unemployed defendants who fill the courtroom in rumpled sweatshirts and scuffed sneakers. Franck V.'s lawyer Pascal Rouiller says he is convinced the men were part of a sophisticated network of pedophiles who tapped into Angers' underbelly as word of the prostitution ring spread. They brought in customers who "had money, made appointments, and were punctual," Rouiller says. One man paid €458 for one sexual assault on a child, and Franck V.'s wife, Patricia, regularly took in about €1,200 a month. "Franck had telephone calls from the whole of France," says Rouiller. "He's a poor miserable man with no intelligence. He had no reason to have contact with people in Montpellier or Lille." Much like the pedophilia scandal that rocked Belgium in 1996, Angers is awash in suspicions that a wider ring of wealthy customers was among the child rapists, and is still at large."

                            1. We're not going to be silenced anymore.

The stigma around "conspiracy theories" is out of vogue. Like I said, you've lost the narrative.

When you attempt to silence victims, stigmatize research and mislead others, people like myself will always be there to clarify matters:

"FRANCE WAS facing an enormous judicial scandal yesterday after its most senior public prosecutor ordered an investigation into the unexplained disappearance of up to 24 young women in northern Burgundy over the past 30 years."

"The investigation follows the revelation that almost all of the records of criminal investigations started and dropped by the prosecutor's office in Auxerre between 1958 and 1982 - including many cases of missing women - had been stolen or destroyed ..."

"Official investigations into dysfunctions in the local welfare, police and justice systems already hinted at a pattern of cover-ups and incompetence. French newspapers have compared the case to the "Dutroux affair" in Belgium, in which the alleged paedophile ring operator and child murderer Marc Dutroux appeared to have benefited from official protection."

"Alègre, a policeman's son, organised the city's prostitution business, providing under-age girls for sadomasochistic orgies at a courthouse in the city and at a chateau owned by the town council. In a letter from his cell sent to TV presenter Karl Zero at the weekend, Alègre said that the former prostitutes, known as Patricia and Fanny, were telling the truth about the murders of two other prostitutes which they had witnessed but which he had previously denied... A vice squad detective allegedly assured Alègre, who worked in the police canteen, that [one of] the murder[s] would be classified as suicide..."

"The letter was written after Alègre met a magistrate to give details of unsolved crimes. Only part of the four-page document has been published but, according to a source who has read all of it, Alègre's confession "contains precise details about the places, situations and personalities involved in the orgies"... "

"One [accused] judge has admitted to drinking with Alègre and another has said that there was "some truth" in evidence from two former prostitutes of an official cover-up of Alègre's crimes."

                            2. Here's more (as promised) for anyone who might be reading:

"The issue [of child abuse] has dominated Portuguese headlines since last November, when a newspaper published allegations of long-running abuse of children at the string of state-funded orphanages and schools run by the 200-year-old Casa Pia foundation. As fresh revelations emerged, a former secretary of state for the family spoke of a "network" that procured children for outsiders. Carlos Silvino, the Casa Pia driver alleged to be at the centre of the ring, was arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing pupils. He has been charged on 35 counts of abuse, with prosecutors considering further charges. As police continued investigations a dozen suspects were formally named, seven of whom were arrested and taken to prison to await charges. Among them were Paulo Pedroso, an MP and number two in the opposition Socialist Party; Carlos Cruz, one of Portugal’s most popular television journalists and retired ambassador Jorge Ritto."

"Casa Pia director Catalina Pestana, who took over after the scandal broke, says doctors found more than a hundred of the 4500 current pupils had been repeatedly sexual abused, most aged between 10 and 13. In many cases, she adds, their muscle and tissue were so damaged that they suffered internal injuries. Pestana believes these may be the tip of the iceberg. For years, she says, there was a “blanket of silence” at the Casa Pia, with senior staff at best in denial, at worst complicit in the wrongdoing..."

"[The] investigation has been painfully slow, prompting suspicions that even if Silvino [the Casa Pia driver], whose initial trial has been twice postponed, is found guilty, better-connected abusers may go free..."

"The Casa Pia affair has had one major positive effect in hugely raising public awareness about the sexual abuse of children. The number of incidents reported to police has soared, and last month thousands marched through Lisbon and three other Portuguese cities, calling for more action against child abuse."

-- October 12, 2003, Sunday Herald, 'Portugal shamed by child sex'

"The Bussum businessman Ronnie Galiart has to appear in front of a judge in September. He is suspected of having smuggled thousands of liters of PMK (an ingredient for XTC) into the Netherlands, packed in honey from China... In those days Ronnie belonged to the network of the Gooi real estate farmer W.F.M. Mijnhardt, who not only continually expanded his capital in the o.g. sector, but also, according to the new publication of the intelligence magazine Fringe, in the cocaine- and diamond smuggle..."

"The [Dutch] Criminal Investigation Department [Rijksrecherche] brought to light that the organization of Mijnhardt kept 253 notable members of society, including mayors, bank directors and officials from the police and the district attorney's office, at gunpoint with images of their sexual escapades in the Spiegelhuis [Mirror House], a luxerious brothel in Zeist... By the way, the Spiegelhuis apparently wouldn't be the only location where high society of this sort went loose and dropped their pants. Also in Ameide this would have happened in the so-called pink ballets. We're waiting for the Dutch Dr. Pinon."

                            Hi all,

Not a long post just a quick one (edit: actually turned out to be long, sorry).

I was reading this thread on Kratz's forensic reports and came across something that simply had to be called out. The thread was linked to from another thread that was talking about a local Manitowac sex club, and freemasons, on georgezipperer site. Link is below for the sex club thread. Thread post i'm immediately calling out is here

                            https://www.reddit.com/r/TickTockManitowoc/comments/7k5793/kratzs_computer_forensic_reports_online/

Comment is here (last comment on the thread)

"Because KK has been plagued with sexual harassment allegations since the mid 90's. He was a "human" red flag for years, people in his surroundings talked- read the testimonies. His antics were well known. Masons rely on a strict moral code. You have to have led an impeccable life, and have been recommended by multiple members. They hold very very thorough investigations into the lives of their perspective members...this multiple accounts in dating sites would have been enough to rule him out. One account would have been enough to rule him out as a mason. They would not have touched KK with a stick. But then again....you Say your family is " in the masons"....so.....yeah"

This is such b*llshit i don't even know where to begin. Freemasonry is all about the kabbala (both practical (at the higher levels) and theoretical levels (which they say they are only interested in) and the notions of Duality - which is about good and evil together and all being part of their 'God's' plan, male/female azaz el worship (which is why we have so much transgenderism in our faces lately in the Western world but that's a different story all together. A dip in here https://www.marquette.edu/maqom/kavodazazel.html)

Much of the kabbala is hidden from view, and as an educated person i only recently discovered this rathole, and let me tell you, it goes deep. I also believe there is something to it too in terms of power (but not for good for the most part). It is a form of J*wish mysticism, but its roots go back to well before Christ. I am not anti-semitic to be clear. It's a huge subject and once you go digging and find the links, you'll find the essence of why so many bad and f*cked up things happen in the world today - it has been a real help to me in that regard. Essentially, it is because kabbala worshippers (very high level people, Epstein circles, Freemasonry, knights of malta, the entertainment industry (music and hollywood have so many roots in Lithuanian and German and ukranian Kabbala families) lots more) all have it BUILT INTO THEIR...'PERSONAL CONSTITUTION' IF YOU WANT TO CALL IT THAT...THAT EVIL IS OK DOWN HERE ON EARTH - DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO, ITS AOK.

Sorry for the caps, but that one sentence will allow alot of people to understand why bad things happen, in their world. Why nothing is fixed. Why the corruption of manitowac is allowed and actively supported. Why an FBI guy can come in and testify on a forensic test that has no scientific validity, to help fit a guy up for a murder he didnt commit.....i digress.

You can read more about the Duality as you like and if you need references let me know. Essentially though Freemasonry is about a club looking after each other, and good and evil don't come into it.

In short, what the post said (that was upvoted by up to 9 other freemasons it seems) is absolute codswallop. Masonry's foundational principles are about "do as thou w*lt". Whatever you want to do.

                            1. Why is this relevant?

That s*x club has been mentioned in threads ive been reading in relation to the Avery case of 1985 (there were lots of guys in the Dunes behind where the Peggy lady was assaulted, and it looked like a bit of an initiation or something). Also naked pictures shown to that bartender Dave Begotka (who witnessed the dunes escapades above). And also, the seeming falling out between Kratz and the new DA, John Byron VanHollen, where the latter has beed referenced as a 'Most worshipful Grand master' of their local masonic lodge (images of VanHollen in Masonic garb here, scroll down a bit: http://georgezipperer.blogspot.com/2016/02/its-all-related-to-secret-sex-club.html.

To me this Manitowac Masonic lodge/Sex club is just a local version of the current Epstein case that (if he lives and isn't offed like the rest of the Clinton Body count) has the potential to do some major damage to some really evil people.

Don't ever believe anyone who tells you the Freemasons are about morals and upstanding behaviour. In my humble opinion they are systems of control, to get dirt on people, make them feel part of a club, and let the higher ups do whatever they want. And it is all Kabbala based. What's wrong with kabbala? Another day's in-depth story, but suffice to say they have it built into their belief system that evil deeds are aok with God.

"The world where evil really takes root is our world, Olam HaAsiya. This is the realm of free will, where God allows "space" for other wills to operate. "

Kabbala has its roots in Askenazai Hasidism before you go way back to the Temple of Solomon! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashkenazi_Hasidim They "hold themselves accountable to Din Shamayim (an unwritten Law of Heaven) not regular laws"

This stuff got to Europe after the templars came back ( and also look up Kalynomous family in Italy in the 8th/9th centuries who all went to Germany/Prussia/Bavaria/lithuanian Duchy area in the 1200's). Templars were likely all Jews going back to get some stuff essentially that was buried, and they definitely got what had been left there. They came back with cash and alot of 'power'. My guess is that some ancient wisdom was there in terms of influence and maybe more, and that's why they were so successful after that. I know that sounds wacky but hey, do the research and make your own mind up.

                            2. The templars then scattered in 1307 when the French King went after them to Portugal, Scotland Germany (to join with the Teutonic knights and livonian order) etc. It's all well knows that they were into Kabbala. All Dutch and British east india stuff was them. This money, belief system, and knowledge has been handed down through the generations. The freemasons were just a useful tool and expansion of their power. Populations were increasing, they had the tools to manage people, they needed a new vehicle - lets create an all boys club, tell them theyll get favours and sex and secret knowledge, and away we go again. Let's keep the useless eaters in check that way.

Murder, and whatever else, is aok. They are a cabal (etymology: 'kabbala'), they intermarry (bluebloods etc.) to keep it all linked. They're not all evil, but a f*ck load are, and they cover for each other out of loyalty, and oftentimes, naked pictures!. And they all kick up to one 33rd degree mason, who kicks up again. A giant ponzi scheme if you will. It's beautiful when you think about it. The people on the ladders in the lodge view the rest as idiots, but in reality, they're different versions of idiots kicking up to one day be given "secret knowledge". It is such a beautiful and terrible and ingenious form of utter control, if you step back and are impartial in looking at it. Like an employer hires a manager to look after the lesser employees. The bigger original families control freemasonry, and most of everything else for that matter.

You can trace half the music industry back to these families (though in all likelihood the music industry kabbala people that came to the Uk and US in the early 1900's were poorer kabbala practicers, i'm still trying to identify the split). I'm going off topic again!

Anyway, this is how the really high up people justify what they do to get ahead in their own minds. Many of them are freemasons. They think we are stupid trying to live b doing good in the world. They are 'elites' (as they like to call themselves).

Happy to elaborate on any of this. Im sure i'll be attacked by a few masonic bum boys soon enough.

In that site i linked above (the zipperer one) there was another notoriuos criminal allowed out of prison that day but was given an alibi. That could be the reason for Halloween ( the guy who killed TH maybe). His name was Gary Kreie, and his dad has a local eagles 'sex club' on his obituary. Apparently he's a notorius scumbag. He was supposed to be in prison at 230 on 31st. Details on that here.

But in the context of my post - the kabbala has trancended alot of religions, you could call it Christian mysticism or plain occultism.

Let's hypothetically say that you worship demons and your belief system has a tonne of room for them in terms of their place in our world. Halloween is an occult & pagan day. That's when you do your business i suppose - like people go to church on certain days depending on their religion.

What scares me the most about all those involved in the wrong doing regarding this whole sorry saga isn’t the planting, the intimidation, the bad faith, the misconduct, lies, corruption and framing carried out, but the knowledge that SA was going down dead or alive, murder charge or not, innocent or well who cares full stop, period.

If it wasn’t for murder, it would have been for something else, if it wasn’t TH, it would have been someone else. As long as no-one else other than SA took the wrap and would be back behind bars for a long time.

That’s the scary part which kind of, for me anyway, makes planting some blood, a key, a vehicle or extracting a false confession from someone, the least scary part of it all and in many ways, the less frightening things the state and LE horrify me over.

It’s the fact that they chose to basically terminate SA’s life and succeeded, in a way more callous and horrifying than had they actually shot him dead, that reveals the true horrors of this case and all those involved because with that in knowledge, his situation right now, was always going to be his fate. Behind bars, doing time for something he never did, all because the powers that be had chosen to terminate his status as a citizen, as a free man, alive to live his own life.

They took it upon themselves to take that away from him, to live the kind of life they didn’t want anything other for him to live. In a cell, a criminal, a no good person who they decide - no-one else - who to put away locked under key and chain.

SA could have had OJ’s legal team, millions of dollars to spend on his defence, 50 alibis, TH never having been born, shacked up in another state and so on, nothing was going to stop the state and LE deciding his fate for him.

Battery and assault of Jodi, sex with a minor with a niece, salvage yard cash transactions undeclared legally, arson of vehicles, illegal burning of refuse for disposal, computer porn, access to firearms, illegal hunting, whatever they could use to put him before a judge...

And then TH disappeared and was never seen alive again. Bingo, full house, game set and match.

                            1. The state and LE know what happened to TH and how, when, why and by what or whom and the extent of their horror show as if it isn’t scary enough, they even chose who and no one else decides what happened to TH, how, when, why and by who.

Again if it wasn’t TH, it would have been someone else. If not murder, rape, if not rape, battery and assault, if not that, some other felony.

SA knew from day one as did others, they warned him, he knew they were out to get him, and the sad thing is his faith in truth wins made him even more susceptible to the evil of others, that’s why he let LE into his trailer to look around, his yard, why he spoke to LE. And that the most should tell us all, he’s telling the truth when he says he is innocent and of them all, is the most honest and decent person in terms of integrity and truth out of them all.

Sadly, that can’t be said of his family members, but before we be too harsh on them, the state and LE are scary all the same and SA’s horror could easily be Chuck’s or Earl’s or Bobby’s. Just look at what they did with Brendan.

For Chuck what’s more scary, the state and LE giving him the ultimation of option A we put away your brother Steve, or option B, we put away you and later on, we will get to Steve and he can join you. What scary horror did they invoke in Barb? Bobby and Scott even?

That’s just part of what scares me the most, the fact they can decide not one Avery to take down, but any of them and if they wanted to, all of them. Best to break up the family by dividing them up and turning them against each other though. Again that’s more callous and wicked and indeed scary to think about than putting Barb away for pot or Bobby for computer porn. They’d have been more humane if they had put a bullet in BD’s head than torture his poor soul locked up for life for something he didn’t do.

That’s what hangs over all of them, and they know that from the ‘85 case and why none of them will come forward with the truth or speak out.

It’s Halloween for the Avery’s every night - haunted by the scary monsters of the state and LE.
